I would like to see a "weighted by points" comparison between this, the c'tan shard+sempiternal combo, and orikan+scythe lychguard with either hypermaterial ablator or veil of darkness on the overlord.

Tyranids Shadow in the Warp can be quite effective though a bit unreliable. Still if you otherwise ignore them, and manage to battleshock them to render a unit costing a quarter of their points unable to do their only job, for a turn it brings a lot of value. If you add a deathleaper and can keep in near them you get the extra -1 to battle shock tests, and can poke at them with anything that doesn't have a better target, to possibly make them take tests on their command phase. This isn't fool proof, but I think it costs you less than it costs them.

The Lych block is a pain and you can get drawn into wanting to kill it (and waste a lot of shooting/points on it). It will get on an objecting and that’s ok but it’s unlikely to leave it. Focus your effort on reducing their other units and hence ability to score. (Judiciar with Bladeguard can get stuck in but the reanimation of characters does get tedious)

-1 damage is for one roll an attack and just for the overlord.
Damon Wolf
-1 to wound and damage with an overlord. Best of luck spending three turns trying to kill that, lol.

Looking forward to some balancing in September

Take out reanimators and high dmg units before they do their damage. Not giving a doomsday ark a chance to shoot is great and charging locust heavy destroyers makes them useless. Mortal wounds will get rid of Lychguard. Precision out necron characters. Necrons are useless without our royals.
James Kelvin
anyone have tips to kill necrons? I keep losing to the same guy who just sticks a bunch of unkillable units on the objective and just sit there farming all the points, meanwhile still killing a good amount of my chaos marines

Playing Sisters vs Necrons so far this edition has felt like trying to break a brick wall with my fists. I've seen precision melee do quite good work vs this combo in particular though, especially if you can bait out the free strat from the overlord in the shooting phase so they might not have the CP for an interrupt.

There is no limit to 1 model - if you have 2 dead lychguard, you can bring back one at full health and also one at 1 W remaining,. The Technomancer can also heal that last wound in your movement phase.
Bob Givens
Yes. You fulfill all 3 points, so one comes back at 2w and one at1w.

I have a doubt I can't seem to find the answer to, if I get the max 3 wounds to reanimate and my remaining Lychguard are not injured, can I res one with 2W and a second with only one wound remaining? or do the RP limit to bringing one model per reanimation outside of the warriors?

Woo-hoo my first early video!

A bud at the lgs runs this combo. You either snipe out the characters with precision or you ignore it and fight on other fronts
