Follower Dialogue Expansion: Aela the Huntress 7.0
🕑 Added 2025-03-05 18:01:14 +0000 UTCIt is safe to update mid-save.
Special thanks to the commissioner for collaborating on Aela's dialogues!
As of 7.0, Aela the Huntress will have 1653 high-quality lines (1699 if you count custom follower reaction), 422 lines more than 6.0.
In addition to all the content she already has in 6.0, she now has complete and detailed quest reaction to the Companions questline, all Daedric quests, many minor quests, many new "what's on your mind" dialogues, and even gives you "wake up calls"!
Refer to this list for the quests she reacts to:

7.0 already includes 1.0 - 6.0, so you only need to download this file.

This mod is part of my series to renovate vanilla characters with additional depth and interaction, similar to the other Dialogue Expansion mods.
Features:
1. Expands Aela the Huntress with 1653 immersive, lore-friendly lines, all voiced by high quality AI (see the video for reference)
2. Quest awareness for the Companions questline, vanilla main quest, DLC main quest, all Daedric quests and many side quests
(Refer to this list for details)
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Plt8XaDzvZADjeLU-UYVDTrrUsjGfVPMw8BLaLKBXqo/edit?usp=sharing
3. Many new story-driven interactions
4. Romance arc and new romantic lines if she is married
5. Location-awareness, including cities and dungeons
6. Wake-up calls
7. Completely lore-friendly, expanding rather than completely rewriting the character
8. Immerse into your game world as a character who lives in it rather than taking over the show
This mod is 100% compatible with any mod, including dialogue expansion mods from other authors.
Safe to add or update mid-save.
There is a potential for future expansion with Aela, including optional synergy with the overarching Shezarrine Saga

Update:
6/3/2025 - Aela will only refer to the Player as "Harbinger" after the Companions questline's completion. This means if you recruit Aela through other mods before completing the Companions questline, she will now correctly acknowledge you as not the Harbinger
7/3/2025 - Added new "What's on your mind" topics, changed the chances for Aela's taunts, fixed one of Aela's quest commentaries being triggered earlier than should be
11/3/2025 - Fixed the wake-up calls being refreshed / repetitive. Fixed the quest stage condition for some lines
13/3/2025 - Fixed some greetings not being triggered
23/3/2025 - Fixed some greetings not being triggered. Made some lines easier to trigger.
7/4/2025 - Fixed a few quest reaction lines' conditions from 6.0. Corrected the grammar of a line
19/4/2025 - Fixed a dialogue in Meridia's quest triggering prematurely

Aela is the GOAT
DarkPhoenix
Yeah, that definitely fits the Lydia extension better. Still, I use your extensions over pretty much any other.

I don't think other mods add new dialogues the way this mod does though

"This mod is 100% compatible with any mod, including dialogue expansion mods from other authors." - Really, though, it depends on your definition of "compatible". Will work with any other dialogue expansion, but you might get some really weird cognitive dissonance depending on the mod ;)
