Rafael laid his chin on your shoulder and kissed the side of your neck. "I ain't a pump and dump."
You laughed and turned in his arms to face him. "Cuddling wasn't part of the deal," you said, but you made no effort to break from his grip. How could you? When Rafael looks so... happy. Who would have known the thief could ever be?
"There wasn't any deal,” Rafael said, hoarse tone tingling your jaw. “We improvise, muffin."
You blinked. "Muffin?"
Raf smirked but hid his face in the crook of your neck. "Just shut up."
Since then, after sex, you know that there's no point trying to leave the bed. Rafael will not be having it. He'll always pull you to cuddle, the contact you had while being intimate not enough to satisfy him. You learned quickly that he’s touched-starved, but he never shows it more than after sex. If, while cuddling, you fall asleep, Rafael follows after you.

He lifted his head and spotted the long-sleeved shirt you had discarded when you stepped into his tent.

To his mounting horror, Rafal realized he was getting hard. "Oh, for fuck's sake," he growled, cheeks blazing, and threw your damn shirt into the rain. Part of him flinched in regret, but the other part turned around and threw himself on his bedroll, trying to shut out any thought of you from his mind.

But it was no point. When Hadrian came to get him, Rafael was wide awake. He didn't sleep a minute. Damn you and your perfect scent.

He has a good experience. Rafael and the Pirate may be the only ROs who had sex with the same person regularly. The Pirate has his paramours, while Rafael had one proper relationship.
Rafael got to experience the other side of sex. The calmer, familiar side of it. The routine side of it.

He's just too devoted and heated to make jokes. He babbles and sputters whatever is on his mind, but it's not exactly a conversation. If you laugh, Rafael usually either stares at the way your boobs bounce/your chest heaves as you do, or he ignores it and keeps doing what he's doing. If you really laugh, stopping completely, he'll blink, confused, until you stop.
If you don't, he'll try to kiss you to set the mood right again. “C’mon,” he says, trying to get you to kiss him back. “Not now, yeah?”
But he is more casual after. While basking in the afterglow, lying together, Rafael will act as if a boulder has been lifted off his shoulders. You see him truly relaxed, perhaps for the first time, and you get a glimpse of the type of man he would have been if life hadn't soured him so. He'll goof, laugh, joke, and poke you much more than he does on the outside, where his guard is up, and the world is out to get him — and you. He's gotta look out for you too, now.
But in the throes of passion? Rafael is the opposite of goofy. Maybe unintentionally, he is. You can definitely laugh at some of the things he says.
H = Hair (how well-groomed are they? Does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
Not very well groomed, but then again, he doesn't need to. To Rafael's heartbreak, he's not very hairy. He would want a respectable bear and hair on his arms and legs. Alas, God gave him a goatee and smooth limbs.
His happy trail is faint, the same brown of his hair, and his pubic hairs are fainter than most men. If you complain about it, though, Rafael shaves it immediately. Just don't ask him to get rid of his goatee. "There ain’t a way."

I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? The romantic aspect)
He's incredibly intimate without trying to be. It was actually an issue when Rafael sought the company of courtesans at his most lonely. Rafael didn't mean to be intimate, he just was, and the poor woman had to deflect him twice so that he wouldn’t kiss her on the mouth.
Rafael had been seized by an intense loneliness, then, and at the second time, he told her it was best if they just stopped.
With you, there are no such barriers. He'll grab your hand, hold it tight, and kiss the palm with reverent lips. When he's going down on you, Rafael will set his eyes on your face, maintaining intense eye contact, wanting to drink in every minuscule expression. When he's rocking against you, he'll often seek your lips, in a quick peck or a deep kiss, just to confirm that you're there, and you have him.
Rafael is always praising you. How good you look, and how good you feel, and how pretty you sound, and how much he adores you. He'll steal things for you constantly and put them in your pockets. He can adapt. As long as you're down, he's ready.

You being kind to him, complimenting him, or generally being mindful of his well-being. When you bring him dinner, you steal his breath away. Your proximity is enough to get his head lighter, especially when you incline your neck, and he gets a whiff of your scent.
He likes your fingers and likes to see you fumbling with his lockpicks. Rafael caught you writing in your secret journal, once, and the way your hand effortlessly guided the quill entranced him. He wanted to kiss each finger and have you write on his skin, but then, the bastard shook his head and removed himself, a pit opening in his stomach.
But you do one thing that drives him insane. The first time it happened, you were kissing. It was playful and innocent, not very heated, but then, you tilted your head and probed your tongue against his lips. Rafael immediately parted them, granting you access, but to his surprise, you didn't delve deeper.
You curled your tongue on his tooth gap and sucked.
He jerked away from you, completely shell-shocked. "What the fuck?"

He likes to gamble.
So, Rafael will make bets with you, and have the loser pay the consequences. Whether that's the loser having to yell the other's name from the top of their lungs the next night or sitting still while his hand slowly inches up your thigh as you're at the table with your companions.
Rafael also loves drunk sex. He only does it when you're both in a relationship and give prior consent, but it's fun and free, and he cackles until he's doubled over and out of breath. One time, he dropped you and laughed so hard that his knees gave out. You were both sprawled on the floor when Alessa walked in.

He's not the most athletic out of the ROs — especially now, having been on the run — but Rafael seems to have boundless energy when he's with you. Every time, he's no less intense, no less passionate.
The first few times, Rafael comes fast. He's embarrassed about it but doesn't give you time to be disappointed before he's using his mouth. Slowly, he gains resistance, but even so, he can come fast if you do or say something he particularly likes.

He's very fair. Rafael doesn't have the presence of mind to tease, he'd feel like he's teasing himself and why the hell would he want that?
Honestly, Rafael is only unfair when he's whispering into your ear while slipping his hands between your bodies to play with your sex. "D'want more? How d'ya want it? Tell me." / "That feel good? How much?" / "Can you take all of me? You're stuffed full already." / "You're s'fucking beautiful. God bloody—" / "Beg me. I'll go harder if ya beg."

Loud. Apart from Ysabella, he's the more vocal of the ROs.
He babbles incoherent words when he's really getting into it, his pleasure overwriting his ability to form sentences. When that's gone, Rafael will groan, moan, and sigh wantonly. You'll never have to doubt if he's enjoying something or not.
If Rafael can't tell you, he'll moan it.
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
Rafael has had his heart broken three times. Once by family, the other by a lover, and the last by a friend.

He's not particularly big but he has the girt.
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
Rafael's middle name is yearn. He's touch starved, and incredibly lonely. Most nights, he has only his memories and imagination to keep him from succumbing to despair.
When you look at him and see him. When you treat him like a human being, Rafael latches onto that. He latches onto you. He'll yearn and burn for you, never saying a word, hyper-aware whenever you're near, whenever you turn in his direction.
Rafael dreams of kissing you and knowing what your skin feels like. He doesn't dream more than that, because there's little point. It won't happen.
When it does, not even an army could pry him away from you.
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterward)
Always willing the night to last forever, remember?
He'll do his best not to fall asleep, gently tracing your skin, and speaking to you in hushed tones. Even when you fall asleep, Rafael fights the prickling in his eyes as long as he can so he can look over you. He's aware of how creepy it is, but what you don't know won't hurt you. So, he steals whatever moments he can, fighting off tiredness with the tenacity of a desperate man.
Just to cling, for a few seconds more, to this perfect moment.

Let me preface this by saying that, as you know, Vallen is still somewhat new to me. I don't know her voice as well as the others and her recent status as an RO makes it so that I haven’t given a lot of thought to her romantic background.
This is to warn that, whatever you read here may change. If in-game something contradicts what is written here, don't be confused. It's bound to happen, so please, don't take this as written in stone.
A = Aftercare (what they're like after sex)
Vallen is very quiet. Almost unsettling so.
You don't hear her heavy breathing or content sighs. When you turn your head to check on her, you find her eyes on yours. The hazel glints like speaks of gold, and her long, blond hair seems to be glowing too, as it lays over her shoulder. It covers half of one perky breast. Her white arm covers her flat stomach, her hand resting on the inside of her thigh.
You drag your eyes towards her face again and find her smiling. "Was that how it's supposed to go?"
You try to gather your thoughts, still coming down from the afterglow. "Why? You didn't like it?"
Vallen's little smile widens. She puts her elbow on the mattress between you, and half crawls closer. "I did," she says, "very much."
"You could have led with that," you murmur, your pride safeguarded.
Vallen tilts her head. Her hair swifts, like liquid gold. You're about to reach for it when Vallen slowly lifts her hand and brings it closer to your face. Her smile is gone, but this close, you can see her flushed skin and the light perspiration on her brow. It makes her so painfully normal. Human.
She touches you. "Do you like me more?" she asks, resting her forehead against yours, her eyes never leaving you.

From then on, afterward, Vallen will usually slide closer and touch you. Her touch is not sensual or sexual, it's innocent, explorative. She traces her fingers on your arms, your belly, your hips. On occasion, she presses her lips on you, butterfly kisses on specific spots of your body.
If you have your glove, she will remove it, and kiss your palm, ignoring the way your other hand clutches the bedsheets. If you don't have your glove, Vallen holds your hand and brings it to her heart, asking if you can feel her heartbeat.

Vallen likes how your body reacts to her. How your voice changes after you kiss her, and how your eyes darken when she undresses before you. She is obsessed with your pulse, with the feeling of rushing blood beneath her fingertips. She's very well groomed. Vallen shaves the fine, golden hairs on her mound and groin. It's not too much of a hassle for they grow slowly and are always a peach fuzz. You once told her she looks young like this, and Vallen took it as a compliment. "Aren't women supposed to look young?"

I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? The romantic aspect)
Like Rafael, she's intimate without meaning to. Vallen needs to be clutching you, whatever part she can. She'll grip your hand (the black one, if she can) and almost crush it in her grip. She wants your eyes on her, and when they’re not, Vallen bites, scratches, or pinches you until you snap them open.
If you're a woman, Vallen loves to flush your chests together, and feel shivers down her spine whenever your nipples brush hers. She'll take your mouth, then, teeth biting your lips, wanting to taste your blood. Wanting hers to mingle with yours in your tongue.
If Romanus is male, she loves it when you grab her hair, hold her hips up, and drive into her as deep as you can, rough and brutal. But her chest tightens when you halt and lower yourself to press a gentle kiss to her lips.

She doesn't. Before you, Vallen never touched her body in that way.

It always attracted her, that ruthless climb to authority. She serves the Red Guard because she believes the Theers are the most powerful family in the land, and she hopes that one day, they'll rival the monarchy.
But then she met you, and she saw you raw, and Vallen fell for it. When your lips curl, and your arms shake, her breath hitches. She desires you madly.
When you grab her, and haul her by the waist, kissing her in the light of day, she feels electricity in her veins. When you unabashedly pull her to your lap while you're sitting with others, she needs to rub her legs together.

I honestly can't think of any. There isn't much Vallen is not open to. She even likes pain, in measured amounts, both to receive or inflict.

Again, her inexperience comes into play but, honestly, I don't see Vallen particularly enjoying them. She gets off on you, and you alone. Pleasure for pleasure's sake is an alien concept to her. If it's not your skin, your fingers, your mouth, and your tongue, she does not want it.

Vallen will lightly peck your face when you're trying to sleep, gradually deepening the kisses until she's adding tongue, and moaning softly in your ear, and sleep is the last damn thing on your mind.
She enjoys pushing your buttons, and seeing how far she can go before you've had enough. And once you do... well, Vallen likes your punishments too.

If you sleep first (which won't happen much with a high Corrupted Romanus), Vallen stares at you. It's like Rafael does, but with her, she's not even trying not to be creepy. Her eyes unblinking, her lips parted, and her hand...

It's kind of jarring how much similarities can be seen between Hadrian and Rafael through this alphabet, even in the way they treat Romanus. I would have never thought tbh. Though I was excited for Lance's turn your reasoning makes sense; in a few years when the moment comes there's no doubt in my mind us fans will circle back to it. I'm happy we're spoiled with Vallen's alphabet, at least, as she was the one- aside from Lance, I was most curious about seeing how she hasn't had her 'reveal' just yet. Including the way she rejects Romanus' attempts at flirting with her when we meet her - she just sees us as another average Joe, nothing interesting to see here. No one truly caught her eye. It seems like she just doesn't care about any of that stuff, at least until she finds out about Romanus and sees something in them that calls out to her. I totally get it about Lance. My Romunus is fascinated by him. The mystery only adds to it more, and he is so secretive that it actually makes a lot of sense that he'd hold a lot of this stuff back. I can see him very sloooowly open up after some time good by and he is more trusting. And omg, I love Raphael even more!! It would be really funny if Romanus lost a bet with him and had to sit there with everyone while he fondled them under the table! I could see sweet innocent Hadrian being totally confused and thinking they're sick or something. Okay. If I hadn’t already chosen to, this would’ve sold me. I have to romance Vallen despite the fact that playing the corrupted route goes against my natural inclination. Ana, do you foresee a change in her amount of sexual experience in game? That’s the one aspect that has me really intrigued. I found it really interesting that she hasn’t been with anybody before a highly corrupted Romanus. It kind of goes against what I would think: the innocence of that weighed against the corruption of Romanus is very compelling in my opinion.
