Chapter 14: Mimesis Training (2)
🕑 Added 2025-04-19 13:43:30 +0000 UTCYu Tianheng and others did not think that Dugu Yan was too easily angered. On the contrary, they thought Dugu Yan was very smart. When Qin Ming spoke so highly of Lu Buliang in front of Dugu Yan, Dugu Yan had long wanted to have a spirit duel with Lu Buliang.
Now that the two of them have a dispute over control ability, they can legitimately challenge each other to a fight.
What surprised Yu Tianheng was that Lu Buliang actually agreed to this spirit fight so readily. It seemed that both of them had some plans.
If Lu Buliang was a pure auxiliary soul master, as the captain, Yu Tianheng would definitely stop this soul fight, but Lu Buliang was also a control soul master. In that case, let them fight. Anyway, the academy has no shortage of soul fights caused by conflicts among students.
“————”
After lunch break, the bell rang on time, summoning all students to the college classroom or playground.
According to Yu Tianheng, today’s afternoon class is Mimesis practice, and the class will be held at the top of the mountain.
It was Lu Buliang’s first day at school. No, it should be said that it was his first day at school as a soul master.
Looking at his classmates talking and laughing as they passed by, Lu Buliang began to miss the life on Earth again.
As a freshman, he had not yet experienced the charm of his senior sisters, the annoyance of failing a course, or the pain of staying up late to study for the final exams when he traveled through time and space and unexpectedly came to Douluo Continent.
Everything was so sudden and incredible, just as incredible as the fact that he was now walking with fictional characters like Yu Tianheng and Dugu Yan.
How could Lu Buliang have imagined that one day he would live with the characters in novels, and that he would change from a three-dimensional human being to a two-dimensional human being. Is this the legendary dimensionality reduction attack?
Under the leadership of Qin Ming, Lu Buliang, Yu Tianheng and the others walked straight up the stone steps towards the top of the mountain.
The air In the mountains is not only fresh, but also very humid. The refreshing feeling quickly sobered Lu Buliang and others up from their lunch break fatigue.
While on the way, Qin Ming explained to Lu Buliang what Mimesis cultivation was.
It is said that Mimesis training allows soul masters to train their martial souls in the environment that best suits them. After the soul master’s soul power reaches level 30, the effect of Mimesis training will be more obvious.
Because level 30 is a watershed for soul masters. After breaking through, soul masters will have a keener sense of energy with similar attributes to their own. Lu Buliang’s shadow martial soul is not a weapon martial soul or a beast martial soul. Shadow is a phenomenon, a product of light.
In places with strong sunlight, the shadow spirit will naturally become more active, and Lu Buliang’s sensitivity to the shadows of various objects will also become better.
Therefore, the most suitable place for practicing shadow martial spirit is a place with sufficient light or a lot of shadows.
After listening to Qin Ming’s explanation, Lu Buliang had a deeper understanding of Mimesis cultivation. He remembered that the original book mentioned that the Heaven Dou Royal Academy had abundant resources for Mimesis cultivation. It just so happened that his soul power had broken through level 30, which was the golden period when Mimesis cultivation was most effective.
Joining the Heaven Dou Royal Academy was a wise decision. With the help of the mimesis training field, maybe I could reach level 40 before taking the fairy grass, and then I could try to absorb the fourth soul ring of ten thousand years like Tang San in the original novel.
Thinking that he was about to reach the peak of his life, Lu Buliang began to imagine what kind of title he should be given after becoming a Titled Douluo.
Everyone arrived at the top of the mountain.
The college’s main campus and dormitories are halfway up the mountain, while the Education Committee, the Dean’s Building, and the branch campus are at the top of the mountain.
The Mimesis training areas are mainly distributed at the top and foot of the mountain, as well as by the lake.
Qin Ming brought Lu Buliang, Yu Tianheng and the others to the Mimesis training area on the top of the mountain because all the Mimesis venues suitable for their training were on the top of the mountain.
Whenever it rains and thunders, the lightning-attracting device cast on the top of the mountain will store the lightning and form an electric field.
Yu Tianheng’s martial soul is the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, a beast martial soul with thunder attribute, so places with strong electric fields are very suitable for him to practice.
Dugu Yan’s martial soul is the Green Phosphorus Snake, a poisonous beast martial soul. The most suitable place for her to practice is a misty forest surrounded by a protective wall on the top of the mountain. The air inside is turbid and contains a large amount of fine particles and toxic substances.
There is another forest with animals in captivity on the top of the mountain, which is suitable for soul masters with beast martial spirits to practice in it. Oslo’s martial spirit is the ghost leopard, Yufeng’s is the wind chime bird, and the Shimo brothers is the black tortoise, all of which are very suitable for practicing there.
Ye Lingling’s martial soul is the Nine-Hearted Begonia. She can practice in the forest or in places with many plants, or in places with plenty of sunshine.
“The top of the mountain is the closest to the sun, with plenty of light, and there are all kinds of plants and shadows of buildings.” Qin Ming looked at Lu Buliang and said, “This place is very suitable for you to practice. The practice process is very simple, and there are other students practicing in the Mimesis field. You can just find a place where no one is around to meditate."
“During meditation, you can’t just care about the flow of soul power in your body. You must also amplify your mind and try to sense the light energy and shadows of objects around you. In this way, you can cultivate your martial soul while cultivating your soul power. You can ask Ye Lingling for the specific method.”
Qin Ming’s eyes fell on Ye Lingling, and he instructed, “Lingling, you and Lü Buliang are practicing in the same Mimesis field. The teacher will also go to another Mimesis field to practice later, and can’t follow you all the time. If Lü Buliang has anything he doesn’t understand, you will need to guide him.”
Ye Lingling nodded slightly, “I understand.”
Qin Ming smiled and said, “Also, you two are both auxiliary spirit masters of the team, so you can take advantage of the time you spend together training to improve your relationship. When your relationship deepens, you won’t have to be so clear about who goes on the field first in team battles.”
This time it was Lu Buliang who nodded. Ye Lingling did not refuse such an arrangement, and Lu Buliang had no reason to refuse. He also wanted to improve his relationship with Ye Lingling.
However, Oslo and Yufeng both shook their heads at the same time. They had a lot of good feelings towards Ye Lingling. Years of getting along and fighting together had turned this good feeling into a kind of liking.
How could they possibly agree to let the person they like further their relationship with Lu Buliang?
What if there is another love rival?
“Teacher Qin, my Ghost Leopard Martial Soul is the same as Lingling’s Nine-Hearted Begonia Martial Soul. It also needs to be cultivated in a place with plenty of sunshine and abundant plants.” Oslo hurriedly said, “You don’t know, my Ghost Leopard Martial Soul has actually undergone a martial soul mutation and turned into a herbivore. It only eats vegetarian food. So it is particularly fast to cultivate in a place with many plants. I can also cultivate with Lingling.”
After hearing this explanation, even Yufeng, who shared the same opinion as him, shook his head.
“Everyone, stop making trouble. You are now in the golden period of cultivation, and practicing hard is the main thing.” Qin Ming patted Oslo on the shoulder and said, “Don’t you all want to become the youngest Soul Emperor in the history of the continent? I believe you can do it, but the premise is that you can’t neglect your cultivation. Hurry up and go to the Mimesis field that suits you to practice. The teacher is also going to practice.”
