Chapter 30: One Person
🕑 Added 2025-04-17 11:22:16 +0000 UTCThe defeat was overwhelming.
The originally peaceful outer city was almost instantly drowned in the shouts of killing.
As the most core tower and the central camp in the outer city, they were of course already under the control of Ishu Diat, the younger brother of the Hundred Knights. When he heard the good news of his brother’s death, he had no time to disguise himself and immediately rushed to the front line to take charge of the situation.
On the one hand, he was trying to prevent the elite of his country from being used as cannon fodder by other countries, and on the other hand, he was also trying to fulfill his brother’s last wish to unify the whole of Britain again.
He was somewhat proud of the current situation. He used almost all the troops he could mobilize to create an illusion for Britain that the rebels were going to retreat. This was also due to the interception of the food supply route. Otherwise, with King Arthur’s shrewdness, he might not be easily fooled.
“You are the captain of the Knights of Tylu, Tylu.”
Almost at the moment when the city gate was lost, Ishu Diat led his troops to occupy the central camp. The knight Ambi, who had just fallen asleep in the camp and had no time to prepare, immediately became a prisoner.
“I am Ambi, the acting knight captain of the Knights of Tylu.”
Ambi, wearing a chalk-white inner armor, lowered his head and was ashamed that he could hardly raise his head. If he was not afraid of death, he would have committed suicide to apologize.
“It’s not Tylu.”
Ishu was stunned and gave up the idea of having his head chopped off as an example to everyone. He kicked Ambi, who was crawling on the ground, and forced him to look at him: “Where is Tylu? Don’t think about hiding it, otherwise…”
“Lord Ishu.” A gray-armored knight ran in hurriedly: “The city gate has been lost.”
Ishu was stunned and looked at the knight who came to report in disbelief. He thought for a moment that the other party had reported to the wrong person—shouldn’t the loss of the city gate be reported to Ambi on the ground? But as the successor of the King of the Hundred Knights, Ishu immediately came to his senses. He grabbed the long sword at hand and asked the knight who had just reported: “How many enemies are there, and who is the leading knight?”
“One… one person”
The reporter’s voice trembled, as if someone had a knife on his neck. Ishu showed a surprised expression as if he was making fun of me. In order to prevent the escaped fish in the city from taking back the city gate, he specially dispatched 300 knights to guard the city gate, and nearly 1,000 knights were roaming around.
In addition to these knights, Ishu himself only had a dozen guards.
“Immediately mobilize the knights in the city. We must not let him escape.”
A fierce look flashed in Ishu’s eyes. In order to seize the territory of Britain in one fell swoop, he used three thousand knights as bait and took more than a thousand knights with him to take risks. He must not be destroyed by one person.
The knight who reported the news responded in a low voice, turned around and ran out. Ishu turned his gaze back to Ambi on the ground. He gave the trembling man a sly smile, “Your Knight Captain is really good at martial arts.”
Ambi was frightened by the other party’s sneer and stopped trembling. Combined with the information he just heard, he thought of Menachel, who was extremely hostile to him. He opened his mouth to explain something, but at this time a head flew In from outside.
I don’t know if it was intentional, but the head happened to hit Ambi's side, and the exploded flesh and blood immediately filled Ambi’s just opened mouth.
The sudden change made all the sounds in the middle camp disappear in an instant. The thick and nauseating smell of blood, accompanied by the dull “da da” sound over and over again, filled the airtight tent of the middle camp, causing the experienced warriors on the battlefield to change color.
“The city gate is under my control.”
It was a low male voice that seemed to be suppressing something, and the dull and suffocating atmosphere began after this voice. The door screen of the tent was easily cut off, and a black and red knight approached step by step from the outside.
On the heavy knight’s armor, which was so thick that the original color could hardly be distinguished, blood flowed down along the smooth lines. On the big sword, the face armor, and even the foot guards, there were still blood scabs that had not yet completely solidified.
As soon as the newcomer appeared, several of Ishu’s guards rushed up at a very fast speed and surrounded the red knight from all sides, but no one dared to attack.
Ishu drew out his sword but did not move forward. He looked at the bloody knights in front of him with some fear. The amount of bleeding was definitely not just one or two people.
“A bunch of rubbish, they can’t even stop one person.”
Ishu’s face was livid. He grabbed Ambi, who was lying on the ground and vomiting, and used his body to block him.
“Attack!”
The two men shouted almost at the same time, and several knights surrounding Menachel rushed over. Menachel held the sword in one hand slowly, without any fancy slashes, but the low sonic boom was almost deafening.
In a flash of sword light, a knight fell to the ground powerlessly, and the weapon in his hand and his body were cut in half.
Several sounds of metal clashing were heard, and the invincible bayonet stopped its edge when it came into contact with the heavy armor. Even though the spear shaft was bent due to excessive force, it still failed to break through the protection of the dragon armor.
The three guards knights who were closer due to the attack made it easier for Menachel. The big sword turned in his hand as if it had no weight, and he chopped off the heads of three more knights with a sideways move.
The warm blood dispersed into a white mist in the cold autumn night, and Menachel casually shook the blood on the sword.
His voice was difficult for ordinary people to detect excitement: “There are no living people outside—now, there are only two people here.”
Ishu’s hand holding the sword trembled a little. He thought of the possibility of horror, and there was a hint of hysteria in his voice: “You… kill them all! Impossible! Even if there are a thousand wild dogs, it is not possible..."
It was only an hour since he entered the city.
“Of course, wild dogs will run away, but the guys outside don’t seem to have learned that.”
Menachel walked towards Ishu step by step. The warmth and smell of his body almost drove the young king crazy.
As Menachel moved forward, Ishu finally couldn’t help but retreat. He pressed Ambi, and seemed to have finally made up his mind. He shouted, “No…”
As soon as he opened his mouth, a shadow that covered the whole body of Ishu was shrouded. Menachel held the sword in both hands, and cut Ishu in half along with Ambi.
“What a pity! The rescue was not timely and Sir Ambi died.”
As he spoke, he took off his head armor, which had turned somewhat black, revealing Menechel’s somewhat pale face. The long-lost feeling of powerlessness made Menechel slowly sit down against the big tent, and the big sword fell out of his hand and rested on the abdomen of the two corpses.
It was really dangerous—if there were even ten more knights, he would no longer have the strength to continue fighting.
Waves of dizziness surged into his heart, but Menechel dared only to rest for a moment. He forced himself to stand up, but the heavy armor had become a considerable obstacle.
He took off his armor and picked up a thin sword that was dropped on the ground by an unknown knight. Outside, there was still the problem of his old acquaintance Chamo that had not been solved.
