After standing there for a long time, Zhu Zhuqing finally stepped forward and interrupted the harmonious and peaceful atmosphere between the two.
She looked at Ah Lan, who looked innocent, and asked in a puzzled manner, “Who is this?”
Before Ye Cheng could speak, Ah Lan took the lead and introduced herself: “Hello~ My name is Ah Lan, and I am Cheng’s contractor. Nice to meet you.” Her demeanor was lively, and she did not feel unfamiliar at all, full of innocence and purity.
Ah Lan’s unguarded look surprised Zhu Zhuqing, but what she cared about most was the so-called contractor she mentioned. Is this contractor what she thought? The woman in front of her is not human???
“You? Contractor? Are you a soul beast?” Zhu Zhuqing hesitated. The key point is that if the woman in front of her is a soul beast, why does she seem so weak after signing the contract? According to the video recorded in the Q&A exhibition, once a soul beast contract is signed, as a contractor, won’t she share the teacher’s power?
But in Zhu Zhuqing’s perception, this woman’s strength is not even at the level of Limit Douluo. With the teacher’s god-level strength, even if she signs a contract with a one-year soul beast, it is enough to pull it to the level of Demigod. How could she not even reach the level of Limit Douluo?
“Yes, I am a 100,000-year-old Blue Silver Grass.” Ah Lan did not hide it and directly told her details. She did not say that she was Blue Silver Emperor, mainly because ordinary people did not know the difference between Blue Silver Grass and Blue Silver Emperor. If she told others, they would not understand and she would have to explain it with great effort. She simply said that she was Blue Silver Grass.
In fact, she was not wrong to say that. Blue Silver Emperor was essentially still Blue Silver Grass, just a more advanced Blue Silver Grass, so it was not a lie to say that she was a 100,000-year-old Blue Silver Grass.
“Teacher, did you really sign a contract with her?” Zhu Zhuqing turned her eyes to Ye Cheng, revealing an inquiring look.
She really couldn’t understand why the teacher would sign a contract with such a weak soul beast?
100,000-year-old Blue Silver Grass is Blue Silver Emperor. Zhu Zhuqing is not unaware of this. Don’t forget who her teacher is. But even if this soul beast has great potential, in her opinion, it is not worthy of her teacher. After all, there are better soul beasts to choose from, such as the pure-blooded dragon clan. Or in the question-and-answer video, the Silver Dragon King who is the co-lord of soul beasts!
Which of these choices is not better than the blue silver grass? Why did you choose such a weak blue silver grass?
Is it because she is beautiful? Zhu Zhuqing couldn’t help but have such a thought in her mind. Then she quickly denied it, and even felt ridiculous for thinking so. After all, even if you think with your toes, you know that no one will sacrifice their future potential to contract a soul beast that is just good-looking, right? A soul master can only contract one soul beast in his life, and once the contract is signed, both parties can be said to advance and retreat together. A relationship of one loss and one gain.
Therefore, choosing a contracted soul beast is very important for soul masters. It must be a very careful choice.
And as the creator of the soul beast contract, how could her teacher do such a stupid thing because of beauty?
Ye Cheng looked at Zhu Zhuqing’s inquiring eyes, but smiled and said, “Ah Lan is indeed my contracted soul beast.”
“But… why?!”
Zhu Zhuqing’s face was full of confusion. If it was in an animation, I’m afraid there would be many question marks on her forehead.
“Zhuqing, don’t worry.”
Ye Cheng smiled and soothed her emotions, and waited until she calmed down a little. Then he explained: “The contract I signed with Ah Lan is the latest contract I have researched. This contract has been improved and has a certain degree of autonomy in whether to share power with companions. In other words, I can choose whether to share power with Ah Lan, and it will not be forced to share under the effect of the contract. In addition, using this contract, there will be no limit on the number of soul beasts that soul masters can contract. In theory, they can contract soul beasts unlimitedly. It's just that there is no need.”
After listening to Ye Cheng’s explanation, Zhu Zhuqing breathed a sigh of relief. In fact, she was so nervous just now, in addition to worrying that her teacher would be dragged down by Ah Lan. The main reason was that she was afraid that the two would fall in love with each other over time. After all, there were some clips in the future video played in the previous question-and-answer session that showed this. When humans sign a contract with soul beasts, if they are of different genders, they may fall in love with each other and get married after spending so much time together.
If you think about it, you will know that this kind of thing is quite normal.
After all, once a contract is signed, the other party is your most trusted partner. Then the soul beast can also transform into a human form, and the human forms transformed by soul beasts are generally handsome men and beautiful women… In such a situation, it is really not surprising that humans fall in love with soul beasts.
But now Ye Cheng’s latest improved contract is different.
First of all, this contract is no longer bound to a soul beast for life. The soul master can contract multiple soul beasts. And his own power is no longer forcibly bound to the other party on an equal basis. If the other party weakens and his strength decreases, it will not affect himself.
In this way, the relationship between the two parties of the contract is greatly distanced.
It has become a simple contractual alliance relationship, not a symbiotic relationship.
Soul beasts can only rely on signing a contract with soul masters to avoid heavenly tribulations and the restrictions set by the gods to become Divine beasts.
Humans just have one more contract partner, and can get power sharing from the other party when necessary. And there is no longer only one such partner, but many… hiss!
Zhu Zhuqing suddenly thought of something and his face changed drastically. She looked at Ye Cheng and said, “Teacher, you are not going to spread this contract, are you?”
Ye Cheng’s newly improved soul beast contract is different from the original one. It is beneficial to humans everywhere. However, Zhu Zhuqing can almost foresee that once this contract method is announced, the soul beast clan will probably suffer.
If the original soul beast contract is for the harmonious coexistence of humans and soul beasts, then this latest improved soul beast contract is for humans to unilaterally gain benefits from soul beasts.
Once it is spread, it will definitely not be conducive to the unity of humans and soul beasts. It will only form unilateral slavery and oppression!
Zhu Zhuqing, whose vision is no longer limited to this small piece of land, but looking at the whole world, has a different perspective. After realizing the harm of this contract, it is natural that she is a little worried. Even if she knows that what she can think of, the teacher can naturally think of it. There will still be some worries.
“No, if I have to spread it, I will only spread the original soul beast contract.” Ye Cheng shook his head and denied: “Once the improved contract is published, it will be detrimental to unity. Now our biggest enemy is still the abyss that may come at any time. It is not advisable to rush into a civil war.”
“At this critical moment, the more strength we have, the more chances of winning in the future.”
“Humans alone cannot fight against the abyss.”
