The heavy object squeezed the soil and made a slight sound.
Every time a foot landed, a dent would be left on the soil. A knight in red armor slowly walked out from the depths of the forest.
For the current mainstream knights who pursue flexibility and mobility, the red knight’s armor is particularly different. The dragon armor made of dragon scales perfectly inherits the weight of the dragon.
On his shoulder is a heavy sword. Whether in terms of width, length or thickness, this dragon bone sword is much taller than the mainstream knight sword, and therefore holding the sword is definitely not easy.
But the red knight lifted such a weapon with just one hand.
The person who came was Menachel. At this time, he finally walked out of the unchanging utopia, but this “super-heavy knight outfit” made by the elves, even after Menachel’s physique was improved after bathing in dragon blood, he could only maintain such a slow pace after putting it on.
What’s even more hateful is that the teleportation point is set in an unfamiliar forest. The dense canopy blocks most of the light, and only a small amount of light squeezes into the dim forest through the mottled leaves. However, the weak light with the opposite effect makes it more difficult for Menachel, who is in the center of the forest, to distinguish the direction and time.
He thought that after leaving the utopia, he could ask someone for information to find out the whereabouts of Artoria and Merlin, but after wandering in this forest for so long, let alone people, Menachel didn’t even encounter an animal. This made Menachel doubt whether he really left the utopia.
He doesn’t know how long it took, because Menachel became slow in the sense of time due to being with the elves for too long. Menachel couldn’t judge the time when he couldn’t see the sky.
But the hunger in his stomach urged him to find a place to stay as soon as possible.
It seems that he needs to speed up the progress.
With a sigh, Menechel raised the greatsword on his shoulder and swung it at the tree in front of him. In the light and shadow, the air was stirred up by the rustling wind and waves. Before the blade arrived, the wind caused by the swing of the sword had already cut the tree.
Isn’t this much stronger than the small iron sword given by Teacher Merlin?
Through the helmet, he looked at the greatsword in his hand with approval, which didn’t even have a scratch mark, and decisively swung the second sword.
Half out of testing the sword and half out of eagerness to get on the road, Menechel walked in a straight line in the complex woodland very straightforwardly.
…
Lothian City.
King Gwyn felt a little uneasy.
Although it was a kingdom, King Gwyn only occupied four cities and had no more than 7,000 people under his jurisdiction. When the new king of Camelot attacked and destroyed seven cities in one fell swoop with thunder, King Gwyn was ready to lead the people to surrender.
After all, Lothian has been an integral part of Camelot since the previous king. Although Gwyn kept it for a while because of the gap in the throne, it was not shameful to surrender.
But King Calades of the neighboring country came to persuade him to launch a rebellion while the new king of Camelot was not firmly established, and claimed that he had gathered 5,700 knights from seven kingdoms. Among them was the most famous “King of the Hundred Knights”.
If you add the 500 knights under his command, there would be 6,200 people, and this battle could be fought.
But he soon gave up the idea.
It was a quiet afternoon like any other. King Gwyn was waiting for King Calades’s rebellion signal as usual, while thinking about whether to use knights to lead the battle or soldiers to block arrows on the battlefield, when his messenger knight suddenly ran over in a panic.
“King, there seems to be a divine punishment in the forest outside the city.”
The messenger’s voice sounded a little breathless, and his thin and weak voice seemed to freeze time and space for a moment.
The knight’s simple words made King Gwyn’s face turn pale. This was the critical moment to summon his subordinates to work together, but such a strange scene happened.
This reminded King Gwyn of the oath he made when he accepted King Uther’s colonization, such as “If there is any other intention, both man and god will be destroyed” – could the oath come true?
King Gwyn, who was a little at a loss for a moment, angrily rebuked the messenger knight to summon the guards to go with him to check, but King Gwyn ran out before the messenger knight.
Years of pampered life and aging body made King Gwyn pant for a moment, but he was worried and held the parapet with one hand but did not dare to slack off. His upper body leaned forward, almost hanging on the wall, but King Gwyn could not care about anything else and could only open his eyes. At this time, there was a rustling and noisy sound of footsteps behind him.
There was no time to reprimand the guards for not doing things properly. At this time, King Gwyn’s sight was completely attracted by the scene in front of him.
In the forest that he had requested to be demolished for a year but had not yet been demolished, one tree after another fell down, as if broken by some huge creature. Because of the angle, King Gwyn could see more clearly that the trajectory of the falling trees was constantly approaching the city of Lothian – you know, there is only one lonely city of Lothian within a few miles.
This could never be coincidence, the other party’s target was the city of Lothian.
Swallowing hard, King Gwyn stared at the wonder in front of him without blinking. Finally, in the billowing smoke from the fallen trees, a heavy figure slowly approached.
The strange color of bloody red and pale white made people feel that the red floral decorations on the armor were unwashed bloodstains. The armor was wrapped very tightly, and even the head was not exposed. In the hands of this knight, there was also a heavy sword that was almost as tall as a person. Obviously, it was this knight who cut down trees and cleared the way.
The heavy armor that made people think “Can you really walk with such weapons?” was perfectly controlled by the newcomer.
A murderous breath came over him, and King Gwyn, who was far away, shuddered.
But then he felt relieved.
Fortunately, it was not the legendary punishment from heaven.
——So was it the knight sent by King Arthur?
He thought so, but this absurd idea was quickly denied by himself. Let’s not talk about whether King Arthur has such a knight under his command. Even if there is, it is impossible to send only one knight to fight.
Besides that, King Gwyn licked his lips, and his breathing became heavier.
“What do you want?”
He tried to keep his voice calm, but his voice was more than one tone louder than usual.
“Are you a knight who has come to seek refuge in the city of Lothian?”
Knights who are neglected or feel that they are buried often flee to seek refuge in other kingdoms. This is a common occurrence throughout Britain and even Europe.
“Knight?” Even though they were separated by a long distance and were wearing heavy armor, the voice of the Red Knight still reached King Gwyn’s ears very clearly: “I guess so!”
Although the answer sounded a bit strange, King Gwyn still chose to lower the city gate.
