Chapter 10: Dragon Breath
🕑 Added 2025-04-12 04:02:08 +0000 UTCThe iron taste in the mouth slightly diluted the burning sensation.
The dragon’s figure was reflected in Menachel’s pupils. Circling in the air, flapping its wings more and more frequently, he knew that the dragon was a little tired.
But Menachel did not relax his vigilance, because the dragon’s state was only at the stage of “tired”. Until just now, except for Menachel’s full-strength throw, he did not seem to cause any real damage to the dragon in front of him.
Looking back at his side, the knight’s sword given by Teacher Merlin was on the verge of breaking, and it was estimated that it would break in the next collision. But except for the broken limbs caused by being too impatient at the beginning, Menachel really didn’t have any serious injuries.
Even his physical strength was far beyond normal.
He gradually discovered the abnormality of his body at this time, but he had no time to care – perhaps the elf who had just escaped felt guilty and returned to secretly perform magic treatment on him.
Teacher Merlin once told him that his body structure was quite peculiar. He could not store magic power, but he could quickly convert magic power into physical strength. This was particularly evident during his growth period in recent years.
Therefore, as long as the secret assistance did not fail, Menachel felt that he could fight for a day.
But it was still difficult to kill the dragon in front of him.
This feeling of endless power was very attractive, so Menachel was knocked out by the dragon again while he was yearning.
The frequency of the opponent’s dragon breath was getting lower and lower, and its long-term accumulation of power had basically lost its threat to Menachel, so in Menachel’s eyes, the dragon at this time was just a strong knight who had lost his weapon.
And Menachel –
His sword was officially broken in the collision just now, so the two sides are now on the same starting line.
After all, it is reasonable for an ordinary person to bring a nurse to fight a dragon, right?
But at this time, Menachel didn’t have the heart to laugh, because the sword was broken and he hadn’t vanish out of the utopia yet.
Merlin, the old fool, lied!
With this thought in mind, Menachel was thrown out. With only one arm to exert force, Menachel was unable to show the power to pull down the dragon again. This time, she was directly knocked over in the jungle behind her.
But soon, the scratches on her body were completely healed by the green light driven by magic. However, the overly obvious magic fluctuations also made the dragon, who had always thought that he was in a fair one-on-one duel, discover the clues:
This blatant magic fluctuation, this very familiar insidious magic!
It let out a short and low roar of exasperation and rushed straight towards its old acquaintance.
Morgan, who had been hiding well, narrowed her eyes slightly and realized that she had done something stupid. She shouldn’t have exposed her whereabouts for the convenience of using someone as a tool and the pleasure of being a spectator. Obviously, taking away the dragon’s blood could be done with her hidden magic alone.
With a slight quench, Morgan, who knew that things were impossible, immediately abandoned Menachel and disappeared into the forest.
The dragon naturally missed its target, and then naturally transferred its hatred to another human present.
But thanks to Morgan’s unintentional support, Menachel had stood up again. Although his head was still a little swollen, he was not easily taken down by a dragon cub.
Looking at the dragon that was getting bigger and bigger in his field of vision, Menachel’s one movable hand subconsciously grasped the hilt of the sword, but soon remembered that the knight’s sword had broken, and only some iron pieces were still stuck on the hilt.
The distance between the two sides was too close, almost fleeting. The whistling wind made Menachel’s eyes dry, and it was too late to pick up the sword on the ground. Menachel gritted his teeth, opened his chest, and made a hugging gesture.
Then he took a gamble – to see if his well-trained body could block the dragon’s incompletely accelerated charge.
But soon Menachel found that the dragon in front of him had opened its mouth.
It was obvious that no matter how well-trained his body was, it could not withstand the sharp teeth of the dragon. A huge shadow loomed in front of Menachel, and the soil was plowed away, taking Menachel with him into the dim mouth.
Menachel held a broken sword in one hand, and used the remaining iron sheet to hold the dragon’s teeth to support the dragon’s mouth. The broken sword reinforced by Merlin’s magic made a whine under the heavy load.
This time it really couldn’t hold on.
Sweat and blood flowed into Menachel’s eyes, and the sour feeling made him close his eyes.
Under the bite force of the dragon, Menachel’s body was bent little by little until a certain moment, the bite force completely disappeared.
It was as If his body suddenly became lighter, and the disappearing pressure gave Menachel a feeling as if he was about to fly.
The chaotic consciousness instantly returned to clarity, and there were bursts of pain in the eardrum, and then there was an unbearable huge noise.
The temporary deafness did not affect Menachel’s condition. At this time, the sole of one of his feet had been pierced by the dragon’s tooth, and only one leg and one arm could move.
Physical strength was rapidly lost along with the blood.
Although he did not know what happened, Menachel still made a choice immediately. He stabbed its gums with a sword. The weak body without the protection of dragon scales was easily pierced by the broken sword. Menachel raised his wrist, and a large amount of blood flowed out from the broken end of the knight’s sword. Menachel did not end the attack. He exerted force again, and the broken sword began to bend into an exaggerated bow shape. Fortunately, this last piece of iron played a good elasticity. The dragon’s tooth was slightly shaken by the picking, and under Menachel’s intentional control, it fell to the outside world.
Perhaps because of the pain, the dragon’s mouth, which was originally wide open, immediately closed, and the light dimmed again. Seeing that he could not escape, Menachel had to retract his legs again to avoid being cut in half.
The blood spurting out from the dragon’s injured gums pushed the foreign object in the dragon’s mouth to slide deeper. Menachel, who discovered this change, immediately looked ugly.
He held down the huge dragon’s tooth with one hand and tried to stretch out his legs, but his gradually heavy body made Menachel more and more powerless.
He Immediately made up his mind and let the dragon blood hit him. With the impact force, Menachel gradually adjusted his position. When the time was right, he kicked his right foot that was stuck by the dragon’s tooth. Although it was only the end of the dragon’s tooth, it still pierced the soft flesh of the mouth very easily.
But after staying in the dragon’s mouth for too long, the wet and fishy air made Menachel’s brain more and more dizzy.
There was probably only one chance left to escape.
As if responding to Menachel’s expectations, the dragon opened its mouth after being hit again in the mouth, but before Menachel was happy, a burning sensation came from behind.
This feeling…
Is dragon breath!
