Chapter 8: Morgan
🕑 Added 2025-04-12 04:00:53 +0000 UTCUtopia is a magical land.
It is a dreamland that gathers the thoughts and constructs of all primates. Therefore, it is not surprising that any creatures appear in this magical land.
Menachel once found a blazing blue-green “fire tree” here. In order to find fire again, Menachel did not hesitate to chew on the fruit and travel through mountains and rivers to visit the old place again.
But even so——
“Even so, there will be no fire tree full of bonfires.”
The tied humanoid creature did not feel that he was a prisoner at all. He stared at the man in front of him with a pair of small earthy yellow eyes and glared fiercely: “Let me go quickly, otherwise…”
A cold light flashed, and the blade was pressed against his neck, and the cold air stung his skin.
“Otherwise, I guess I will die miserably.”
The other party’s answer was very straightforward, and there was no image of [an innocent passerby who was caught and used as a tool by a knight who jumped out of nowhere just because he was wandering around].
Menachel did not speak. He ignored the fierce resistance of the other party. He lifted the hair of the creature in front of him, revealing a unique pointed ear.
“Elf?”
“Yes!”
The elf’s answer was very straightforward. Menachel deflected the sword and removed it from the opponent’s neck, but did not give the opponent a chance to relax and slashed the blade again.
Obviously, the elf did not react, and only shook instinctively. But the imagined pain did not come. The rope that bound his body was cut off by this straightforward blow.
“You…”
The elf blinked his eyes, sat on the ground and groped his body, with an expression of disbelief.
“You go.”
Before leaving, Teacher Merlin had warned him not to kill elves here-not to mention that Menachel had not yet thought of “preying” on elves with human physiques.
“Huh?”
The sudden change in attitude made the elf in front of him feel like he was living in a dream. He responded hesitantly and stood up from the ground.
“Can you make a fire?” Suddenly, Menachel seemed to remember something. He turned his head and looked at the elf who was about to leave.
When his eyes caught his eye, the elf trembled and said, “Although it is a simple magic, we never use fire.”
Menachel’s face darkened. Last time in this area, he saw the blue-green flames burning on the trees with his own eyes – different from the flames of ordinary “lighters”, but all this did not seem to be done by the elves.
Looking at Menachel, whose face suddenly became gloomy, the elf immediately realized what he should say. His eyes turned and he showed a slightly forced smile: “So I guess, maybe it was the dragon who did it.”
“Dragon?” Menachel was stunned. He couldn’t help but think of what Mr. Merlin said about the “real dragon species”. Out of caution, Menachel continued, “There should be no sub-dragons around here.”
“It’s not a sub-dragon, it’s a pure blood giant dragon. Although judging by the scales, it should not be an adult yet.”
Menachel narrowed his eyes. After three years in the Utopia, this was the first time he actually heard news about the giant dragon.
“Do you know the way?”
Menachel looked at the elf beside him, who nodded in an unusually attentive manner.
“I can lead the way for you, as long as you are not afraid of death.”
Menachel narrowed his eyes, and the elf cooperated and let him watch. Suddenly, the solemnity on Menachel’s face was replaced by a smile: “Don’t worry, if I can’t kill it, I might as well die.”
How strong the dragon is, how strong he is now, whether he can survive, all these are unknowns, but so what – he has been here for nearly three years, he doesn’t know how long he has left, what is the use of his training for so many years, and the dragon in front of him is the best test.
- Artoria is a pure descendant of the red dragon and a chosen warrior. If you can’t overtake now, then you will never be able to defeat her in your life.
Teacher Merlin’s unintentional words have been lingering in Menachel’s ears, and he doesn’t have much time.
What’s more, with his experience of slaughtering countless sub-dragons in Utopia for several years, Menachel doesn’t think he will lose. If I really can’t win… the worst that can happen is that I will lose the sword given by Teacher Merlin, and I will naturally be squeezed out of the utopia by the world.
I can’t die anyway, so what’s there to be afraid of?
He smiled so-called, he put away the sword and put it on his waist, he pointed to the front: “Lead the way.”
The elf was silent, turned around and led the way to the dense forest behind him.
Menachel was sure that there was definitely something wrong with the elf in front of him, at least the purpose was not simple, but everyone was an adult, and it was not surprising to have personal feelings. What’s more, Menachel had this confidence – if he could capture the other party once, he could suppress the other party countless times.
…
Morgan sat in the carriage, and the unmanned horse was burning with blue flames, and the ground where the horse’s hooves passed was charred.
Her father King Uther only had her as his child in public. No matter how many illegitimate children the old man had behind the scenes, the throne would always be hers, but Merlin actually played the trick of “the chosen king”.
Whoever can pull out the sword in the stone will be the new king of Britain. If Merlin had not announced publicly that he would not participate in this selection, Morgan even suspected that the other party was going to usurp the throne.
But there is no doubt that the girl next to Merlin is the new king of “chosen by heaven”. If Morgan guessed correctly, the girl disguised as a boy by Merlin’s magic was her sister.
She had just returned to Britain after hearing the rumors about the sword in the stone, but unfortunately, after one attempt, as a princess, she failed to pull out the sword. Fortunately, Morgan had more than one chance.
She was going to use a little magic to help herself activate the blood of the red dragon, so she came to borrow some blood from the “old dragon”.
But unfortunately, this time, even the burning magical fire could not draw out the dragon cub, who would run out impatiently as soon as he smelled her scent before.
It seems that both dragons and humans are creatures that become less cute as they grow older.
Morgan frowned, and she controlled the carriage to stop slowly. A flying bird with a transparent hue slowly landed on Morgan’s hand.
A large amount of bird droppings were found in the Lake Forest, but the surrounding area was eerily quiet, apparently without a single bird.
The monsters here would never go near the lake, and the group of vegetarian elves would not take the initiative to exterminate a race.
Was it that little dragon that made the move… The last time she saw it, it seemed to be planning to drive away the elves and monopolize the lake.
So the next step would be the elves by the lake, right?
Thinking of this, Morgan turned the carriage around and headed back to the Lake Forest.
