Hello everyone!
We do apologize for this Mind Drop being a few days behind. We were taking our time to decide when our next release day would be so we could share it here.
Next Release:
We have decided that we will release a decently large update on November 19th.
Our original plan was to release only up to the end of the exhibition game but after further consideration we've decided that the overall experience would be much improved if we included the rest of Day 32 and up to them leaving to catch their flight.
There will be more info about exact update size in the next Mind Drop on Nov 9th.
Future updates:
We'd also like to take a moment to say that Day 32 wasn't originally going to be as long as it is. That's due to many of the scenes being rearranged for the month 1 rework.
Due to this, we just want to give a heads up that the individual days of days 33-38 are far shorter than 32 is.
We do expect late November to have the first release of Day 33 as we don't expect to have to change much about it as is.
And speaking of changing things...
Month 1 rework:
There was some confusion over what we were talking about when we mentioned there would be a rework.
So to quickly go over some of the planned changes.
The month 1 rework will take the events of Days 1-9 and change the timeline to Days 1-31.
This includes brand new renders and animations for almost all of it.
There will also be an intro sequence that will quickly go through the MC's life after he moves in with Azel.
The story is mostly the same though there will be changes to some backstories as well as a few events that were a little too out there. There will also be a handful of new characters (Most of which have already been met in the current update.)
We also plan to include an in-game character sheet that updates as the story progresses as well as an in-game schedule.
Many have asked about if the rework will introduce sounds/music into the game and all we can say on that right now is that we're looking into it but nothing is currently planned.
Side Content:
(Birthday Renders have not been posted yet due to us deciding to go ahead and catch up completely on them. So July-October will be posted all at once. Braindrop has posted a few on Discord and those will be include at the bottom of this post as well as a new one.)
South America was chosen as the continent for the next Rachael client. The next poll will be choosing where from in South America and that poll will be taking place on November 1st. (All Star+)
We will be holding a poll for who the next DITLO will be focused on. This will take place on November 10th. (Sixth Man+)
The first truly Alpha build for the MVP tier will be posted sometime next week. Keep in mind these are small builds that do not have proper start/end points and may include bugs / typos.

Talking about the tier changes:
Some people were upset with the changes that we made.
Our goal was to have incentives for the tiers that made sense with how we intend to update the game in the future while including fun side content.
(DITLO's were changed to where Bench Warmer+ will receive it, just after a few weeks.)
The most notable changes that were criticized were the inclusions of the MVP and HoF tiers.
While we understand that the optics behind adding those tiers while still trying to rebuild our reputation can look sketchy, we had planned on adding those tiers for a while and we did initially plan to not include them until Days 32-38 were finished.
The decision to go ahead and include them was mainly due to Braindrop wanting a way to have very rapid releases that don't have the expectation of being "finished".
While we do not intend for these builds to have a schedule or be weekly, Braindrop misses the days of him being able to release whatever he's worked on and still feel like he can go back and alter things without fucking up saves or causing tons of confusion.
Basically we feel that any release we have now has the expectation of being completely finished and set in stone and we feel the best way to have something that changes that was to have an entirely new tier with an entirely new build name.
And as far as HoF goes, it's as simple as customs are the #1 thing we are asked about. It has to go in a higher tier as we do not want a ton of requests every month as they take time to make.
If the customs ever become too much, we may disable the tier as we catch up on requests before activating it again.

he has apparently the worse health, luck wise and with family members :(
to be fair, he has been hospitalized, or thats the story atleast. BUT 1 week more literally turned into over a month. And then having the nerve to upp the pledges, like wtf man. i have literally paid over 100 bucks this year. Basiclly no updates what so ever to speak of.

It's about time for "Mackenzie" to appear and explain BD (who is really "Mackenzie" anyway, I'd bet heavily) needs more time to come on and ask for more time, without pausing pledges, again...... it's turning into comedy gold, I might even continue my meagre subscription for the laughs.
Instead of wanting him to make a game like that you should do it. Instead of complaining. Give us all a date when your game drops

I'm amazed that with all of the pledge changes recently you're still not meeting any of your target dates. This mind drop was late. The one promised for Nov.9th still coming ? Birthday renders still coming ?

Kinda wish the game would focus on maybe 1/3 the number of characters and not try to make something for everyone but instead work on giving each of them enough space to express their own personalities and relationships with each other. As it stands I have trouble saying which LI is which, just more bodies in the bed /shrug

My recommendation would be for BD to focus on the first month rework after the current days 32-38 (or however much this current run is). Because 1.) I didn’t expect so many changes from the first edition of the story and I think playing a cohesive story is good. And 2.) it’s best to just focus on one thing at once- it’ll simplify everything for BD writing wise and leave fewer things to worry about. I’m also happy for both BD and the game to see progress again. Adding MacKenzie has really seemed to have made a big difference. I hope BD is compensating you properly. 😜

New beginning for WVM seems a bit strange. Mackenzie joining was definetely a good thing. Being late with updates is not. First update after Mackenzie - felt off. Sex scene was good but update was short, there were things I didn't understand because I had never seen First Month Redo (FMR)which should be released before more updates. Second update also had some things from FMR and it was short, but short in a good way. Not "that's all?" short, but "holy shit I want moooore!" short. And when I played it felt like I have sat my ass in my favourite armchair. It felt comfortable and good. Good old WVM. If the next updates will be like the second one than everything is going in the right direction. But at this point I still can't tell if it is worth the wait. I suppose we shall see after FMR release. Best wishes to Braindrop and Mackenzie

Those are both fair points. I can see why a smaller (less polished) update would be more helpful for feedback. I genuinely hope everything goes exactly as planned. Obviously I still love the game and want to keep supporting it. If the updates stay on track like they have been I will increase my subscription again. I am really looking forward to the rework and everything coming together. Hope you and your fam are doing well. Dipper

Existing tiers did not receive any price changes and content was not taken away (Except for broad Client choices). New things were introduced to higher tiers. I'm glad you do not mind when unfinished things are released but that is not the case for everyone and it's a difficult thing to manage on my end especially with my own issues. The additions to higher tiers do not subtract from anything else. I do however understand if you're not vibing with the changes and I completely understand you removing your pledge. No hard feelings, though hoping others follow suit is a tad strange bushie. -Braindrop

I can be a perfectionist that's true, but that is also tied to when I feel expectations are really high. I just want people to have a good time with my game and after hyping up a large update while also dealing with everything in my personal life, I no longer had the confidence that it was going to live up to expectations. I also greatly value feedback, which is a thing that I don't receive on pieces of a large update until it's already set in stone. All of this is essentially just a way for me to receive feedback and to also keep me on time with the compiling of everything as well as hopefully preventing any large game breaking bugs from entering a main release. And as far as switching focus to the rework, we do intend on upping the attention put into it as we get closer to releasing it. -Braindrop

Some good news, and some.....weird news. I'm not sure how others feel about this, but I would really like the rework to become the main focus after this next update, or two. I would really like to have a cohesive game to play from the beginning. I don't want this to come across as rude, I appreciate the work that BD puts into the game, but it seems crazy to me that a guy who seems like a perfectionist and didn't release anything for roughly a year because he kept needing to rework things....has added a new paying tier based on releasing essentially unfinished work....... Good luck!
Increasing the price of tiers and taking away benefits is a big way to lose support of your members! Plus making excuses about being worried that releasing unfinished work is a total cop out no members are expecting completely finished perfect work and we've told Braindrop that on many occasions! Unfortunately all I can see happening right now is greed creeping in. So I am canceling my membership and I hope everyone does too!
