That 'Being John Malkovich' reference is the first time I have heard of anyone else seeing the film. Great but very strange movie, and definitely relevant to the whole Fake Geto situation. Glad to know I'm not the only one to have seen it.

Naoyas technique is same as his fathers (old man zenin who just died this season ep 1) frame rate technique from season 2 that makes him able to be super fast and freeze ppl in frames for 1 sec

Gege never explains it that well but you can kinda assume the reasoning. Basically while he thought he’d been cursed all the power cursed spirit Rika had was actually yuta’s power that he unconsciously gave rika. So while the real rika’s soul moved on at the end of the movie yuta can still create a shikigami rika out of his cursed energy to use.
