I live in a village just beside Dunfermline and here Andrew Carnegie is a BIG deal. One local theatre is genuinely called Carnegie Hall. There is also a very nice, very large public park and the story is that as a boy, Carnegie would break into the local estate of a landowner and was chased out and punished. When he made his money, he bought the estate and donated it to the people of Dunfermline with the proviso that it remain a public park (no selling even part of it). There's also a fund of money called the Carnegie Trust.

It's been a while since I have seen Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, so I went looking for the scene where the child is terrified of the aliens, and he actually isn't terrified in that scene.
