Too Much Sanity May Be Madness

It's "I told you," with the accent of a stereotypical Brooklyn mobster.

Federico

what does this means "I tolja, boss"?

I think a lot of poison tipped darts and arrows use a viscous paste (e.g. curare), which probably increases longevity. But yeah, eventually most poisons/venoms degrade over time. Unless it's something inorganic like mercury or lead, I suppose.

It wouldn't surprise me if Rhydion figures out that Seiji is the Healer at some point. Seiji isn't Light Yagami, just a guy who's reasonably good at planning ahead and understanding power dynamics. Figuring out that he's the Dark Lord would be trickier though and that's probably the part that Seiji is more concerned about.

I lol 'ed too.

Yeah Seiji is, I mean better at planning than when he started. Just not that much better.

Russell Todd

Oh man if Rhydion ever runs into the Healer, he’s gonna figure out the identity immediately. Seiji really needs to learn more about this guy or he’s gonna regret the blind spot he has for Rhydion’s magical abilities.

"Dunk your bolts in poison for a guaranteed kill" From what I hear, that doesn't work so well in real life; most poisons are only potent as long as they remain wet. Of course, if they're magical poisons, this may not be an issue. "Oh, goody. Something to look forward to." Something for Aster to look forward to, at least. "They were stalemated and both hemorrhaging strength, which put pressure on them to make peace, the last thing I wanted." Makes taking over by force a lot easier, though. "I made a mental note to ask the goddess what she thought about that little irony. If there was time, of course, right before I murdered her stupid omnipotent face." Weren't you just considering how Virya is apparently thinking five steps ahead of you by giving you exactly the artisans you'd need to manufacture crossbows? Leave plotting against the goddesses until you have found some sort of weakness that makes those plots likely to bear fruit. "You are particularly fascinating, Lord Seiji. I have never met someone so constantly angry at everything who yet keeps taking opportunities to be kind to those he encounters." If what you're mad about is unkindness, to do otherwise would be hypocrisy. And makes you part of the problem, rather than the solution. Or, at least, that's how I explain myself to myself. "The options are you, and a rumored madman who goes around the Gutters healing prostitutes." He should be grateful that there's more than one choice available! (Heh.)

I love it. Right now, Rhydion is the prime candidate for wiping Seiji off the face of Ephemera, if he figures out the truth. Seiji is half aware of this, and then decides to share his full opinions on everything anyway. This is going to be amazing.
