I understand you. My point was that at least Blender is open source and free. I used it to some extent up to a few years ago. And it's growing steadily (inversely to Adobe). And DaVinci Resolve may not be open source, but it's at least free (most of it), and Linux-friendly!!! Just the complete opposite of what Adobe stands for. In other words, whatever you can create in those platforms will reach a bigger audience, in my opinion, and mostly it's where the future lies.

I definitely feel you! I'm not happy about Adobe After Effects still being considered the standard for our professional work with motion graphics and VFX. We've tried using Blender, HitFilm, Davinci Resolve, and Descript but still found ourselves having to use After Effects and Premiere Pro for client projects and just about every video on our YouTube channel. The Black Mixture Toolkit is a collection of the presets and plugins we use to make our content much faster so we can spend as little time in Adobe as possible lol.

When you said "your favourite software", I almost believed it. And then you meant Adobe... 😞🤔 Not a favourite for a longtime for many people out there! 😉
