Black Mixture ComfyUI Quick Start Guide
🕑 Added 2024-09-24 12:00:06 +0000 UTCHey, Black Mixture Fam!
Here’s our exclusive Black Mixture ComfyUI guide, now with our latest Flux-based workflows! This guide will walk you through the entire setup, from installation to generation. Whether you’re just getting started or refining your skills, this breakdown has everything you need to get up and running.
Now, let’s jump in!
1. Install ComfyUI
First up, let's get ComfyUI set up so you’re ready to work with Flux.
Download ComfyUI: ComfyUI GitHub or try our streamlined ComfyUI Installer.
Extract the folder to a location of your choice.
Once everything’s installed, you’re good to go! Simply click run_nvidia_gpu.bat to launch ComfyUI. 🎉
2. Download Flux Base Models
Next we will need the Flux model. There are a few options depending on your hardware specs. These are in order of most intensive to least. Place the .safetensors file into the file path listed.
Flux Base Models (includes VAE & CLIP):
Black Mixture Flux.1-dev: Download here
Black Mixture Flux.1-schnell: Download here
File Path: 📂 ComfyUI_windows_portable\ComfyUI\models\diffusion_models
💡 Pro Tip: Flux models come optimized for both fast and detailed generation. Try Flux.1-dev for dynamic scenes or Flux.1-schnell for faster output.
3. Install Flux ControlNets and Upscalers
Next, let's bring in ControlNet and Upscaler models to give you more creative control options in your workflows. I HIGHLY recommend you use the ComfyUI Manager to download models. Listed below are direct links for manual installation.
Flux ControlNets (Depth, Canny, and Union Pro):
Flux Depth ControlNet: Download here
Flux Canny ControlNet: Download here
File Path: 📂 ComfyUI_windows_portable\ComfyUI\models\xlabs\controlnets
ControlNet Union Pro (Multi-Function): Download here
Upscale Models (for high-quality enhancement):
UltraSharp 4x: Download here
File Path: 📂 ComfyUI_windows_portable\ComfyUI\models\upscale_models
💡 Tip: Installing these models directly through the ComfyUI Manager is easy. Just search for them and click “Install”—done!
4. Load Flux Workflows in ComfyUI
Now for the exciting part—let’s load up the Black Mixture Flux workflows for creative AI generation!
Choose Your Workflow:
V3 Ultimate Flux Workflow (for full-featured generation): Download on Patreon
Advanced Live Portrait Workflow (edit facial expressions + webcam control): Download here
Magic Upscale Workflow (for crisp, detailed creative upscaling): Download here
Simple Flux Workflow (beginner-friendly setup): Download here
Load the Workflow by dragging and dropping it into your ComfyUI interface.
If you see red nodes (missing nodes), simply use ComfyUI Manager to "Install missing Custom Nodes" and restart ComfyUI.
5. Final Setup & Troubleshooting
Before creating, do a quick check on all nodes to ensure everything’s connected.
Double-check all “load” nodes (for Checkpoint, ControlNet Model, LoRAs).
Troubleshooting Tip: If custom nodes are giving you issues, you can:
Go to "install missing custom nodes" in the ComfyUI Manager.
Manually delete and reinstall any problematic nodes if needed.
