Map Set 23 Gold
🕑 Added 2022-07-01 05:38:15 +0000 UTCHere's our newest map set with two new maps!
The first is MC Hammershippe (51x51), a slightly modified Hammership built for long range exploration, trade, and medium combat. The additional mid-hull main deck ballista provides a bit more firepower across the ship's long flanks. She sports a large cargo hold capable of storing tons of extra provisions, captured exotic creatures and other treasure; or it could be converted into passenger (or prisoner) cabins.
Encounter Ideas:
- Strange Cargo - Some of the crew have reported hearing mournful sobbing emanating from the cargo hold but the source has not been found. Oddly, the cries can only be heard in the evening.
- Intelligent Infestation - A mischief of rats has been raiding the provisions and the party has been charged with dispatching them. However, upon finding one of the rodents it communicates with the adventurers. It claims that they are actually the old crew that was transformed into rats by the current crew.
- Wildspace Pirates - Invaders have snuck onto the ship, taken the helm and most of the forward sections on the main and cargo decks. It's up to the party to re-take the control room before the intruders can take the ship back to their mothership.
The second is Pond Ruins (35x35), where a formerly flooded town has emptied of water revealing some old ruins on the edge of a forest with a sandy beach The villagers that lived here seem to be long gone but parts of their structures still remain. Along with their crumbling buildings, some of their wealth might remain as well, buried in the sand or hidden beneath the waves. Adventurerers that have heard of the newly-revealed ruins are eager to search the pond for anything of value, so the party might find competition should they decide to seek the ruin's riches themselves.
Encounter Ideas:
- Crabby Crabs - Some giant rock crabs have been drawn to the pool by the warm mud and an abundance of food. They camouflage themselves against the rocky ruins and attack when their prey gets close.
- Trapped Souls - A long time ago the residents made a deal with a water demon for the protection oft he village. But they were eventually betrayed (or perhaps they betrayed the demon) and now the demon has trapped their spirits here against their will.
- Rebuilding Conflicts - The party has been contracted by a noble to rebuild the old village, but when they arrive there's already construction in progress. It appears a rival noble has illegally laid claim to this land and it's up to the party to resolve it.
Includes gridded an non-gridded versions of:
- MC Hammershippe (51x51)
- Pond Ruins (31x31)
