https://www.hectaregallery.com/chikashikasai
https://www.tokyo-bijutsu.co.jp/np/isbn/9784808711535/
https://www.yamatane-museum.jp/exh/2024/seed2024.html

Please note that the following is a machine translation, so I apologize if there are any strange expressions.
Dear Supporters,
Thank you always for your warm support!
I have sent out the continued support rewards for December-January to everyone by today. There were some usernames that I couldn't find on Patreon, possibly because of name changes. If you applied but haven't received anything, please feel free to contact me at any time, not just for this instance.
I've also updated the application form for the continued support rewards for January-February. We plan to send out these rewards around early March.

For the past two days, I've almost exclusively been working on the continued support rewards. I had to laugh when I realized that an AI-generated illustration made the character look incredibly thin, so I thought I'd share it with you. Please be warned, it's a bit grotesque and erotic.

I haven't shown much of my work process, so I thought it might be interesting, though it might not be the most pleasant viewing. AI can often produce strange results like this. Maybe it's because I'm still using an older version. The images labeled with "edit" in the file name vary in degree but include various types of edits and modifications I've posted. Those without any label have changes like color adjustments, but the lines and painting are basically untouched.

I received a request for the continued support rewards in smartphone wallpaper size, and trying it out on my phone turned out better than expected. I've occasionally received messages from people using my work as their wallpaper, even sending screenshots, but trying it myself on my phone was surprisingly good.
I believe the best display most people have around them these days is their smartphone. I recommend viewing Patreon on your phone with the app, and I've been sizing images to suit that, which has really hit home for me. I think many people, including myself, usually wouldn't set such wallpapers, but finding your favorite image and trying it out can bring back the excitement of being a fan student, which I highly recommend.
―――――――――――――
The following is entirely based on my personal interests. Recently, a supporter recommended an exhibition that I had been interested in for a while. Since we share similar interests in Pokémon/Hololive, I thought our tastes might align, so I wanted to write about the exhibitions I want to visit. Exhibitions are hard to recommend due to their limited time and location, but some have accompanying books, which might be a good alternative.
I enjoy photography, so I often visit photo and art exhibitions to learn more, usually about once a week, and often see multiple exhibitions at once. Going without high expectations, just as an extension of a walk, can be enjoyable, especially if it's crowded, I end up watching the people watching the art.
1.Chikashi Kasai's "River" – until 2/18 at Shibuya
https://www.hectaregallery.com/chikashikasai
I've already visited since there's not much time left, and I love Kasai's photography. While exhibitions are often associated with museums, individual exhibitions in buildings can offer the chance to see beautiful photos for free. I particularly love his photo book "Tokyo Lovers"; it's erotic but not in the way you might think, and it's worth a full read.
2."Kawase Hasui: Travel and Nostalgic Landscapes" – until 3/6 at Takamatsu
I wanted to go but couldn't, so I satisfied myself by reading about it.
https://www.tokyo-bijutsu.co.jp/np/isbn/9784808711535/
Japanese prints might bring to mind names like Hokusai, but exploring modern takes on this traditionally old genre can be quite interesting.
3."Seed Yamatane Museum of Art Nihonga Award 2024" – 2/17 to 3/3 at Shibuya
https://www.yamatane-museum.jp/exh/2024/seed2024.html
Contemporary Japanese paintings, especially by younger artists, are fascinating. Seeing them in person can completely change your impression. It's fun to follow artists you're interested in to their individual exhibitions. It's not as fast-paced as the internet or AI, so there's no "fan fatigue," and it's easier to follow. Sometimes receiving an exhibition postcard and visiting on a day off can make you feel like a wealthy old man.

I didn't want to make this just another update announcement, so I included some unrelated stories. My posting frequency has dropped recently, but with the end of the year and New Year's behind us, it looks like I'll be able to return to the regular cycle of continued support rewards and might even have a bit more time to post more frequently. There will be ups and downs, but I'm grateful if you continue to watch warmly from the sidelines. I'm still going strong!
