To tell you the truth, a lot of work in Project Feline is just me stealing my own ideas from when I was a kid. Here is where Calder came from. Same goes for Gabi too.

I spent the majority of my childhood/adolescence in my own head and didn't pay much attention to what other people were doing. I imagined this whole world, which eventually drove me to Project Feline. I drew fan art of Master Chief one time but apart from what I was always drawing Gabi or some other character I wanted to bring to life. I have some other childhood characters on my website https://raymondcripps.com/art. Calder was inspired from a large teddy bear I own. His original name was Bill and he was a captain, but for Project Feline the name Calder seemed more unique. The name means "rough waters", which I imagine they would be where polar bears are from.

So, were these just childhood doodles you did as a kid, and what made you want to draw them (like were you making fanart for a game/show or were you already planning your game out as a wee lad)?
