MLP v2 Update - Home Stretch
🕑 Added 2024-10-12 22:24:35 +0000 UTCI know I was supposed to get this out earlier this week, but uh...I completely underestimated how much more work needed to be done! Not helped by the fact that I didn't have a lot of free time this week either. Rest assured though, these damn ponies are almost done! You can check the status in the final image attached.
All of the characters and their assets have been imported, and a good chunk of them have proper hair and tail physics now. A few alternate hairstyles are there such as Sci-Twi, Pinkamena, Apple Jewel, among others. I'll post screenshots of those plus every other character in the final release.
It's taking a bit longer because some of the original assets had improper UV maps or weren't welded properly. I've decided to forgo CUAs entirely for this project to make it easier to mix and match assets, edit textures, and physics interactions with other objects.
If the stars align this should hopefully finished next week. After this is done I don't want to see another pony again lol. Based on some early estimates, this will be over 2GB in total so I'll split up the .var files based on how the images are organized.
