I'm a mess...

I'm really struggling to get my feet back on the ground....
Now I'm seriously considering putting my patreon on hold. I'm feeling too much of a guilt about being on absence and wasting everyone's money.....
I know some of you have genuinely mentioned the last time I asked that you wanted to help and to leave my patreon on, but it's making me feel very uncomfortable. It just feels wrong.
Can I know what you all think? π

I haven't been in a good spot for years now... chronic health issues, financial hurdles, dealing with trauma... it's getting harder and harder to create, even if deep down, I really love art, and I want to draw much much more. I've spent almost the whole year being held back and not being productive.. I know I need time to heal, but yeah, it's hard to afford it so I kept having to come back. The cycle repeats. Ah anyways, that's the gist of it. Happy to hear you're willing to support me Faye β€οΈ A dollar might not be a biggie for you, but it helps me out. Really, thank you π«

Yeah... it's been hard, struggling with chronic health conditions and also trauma... I really really love art, but it's crazy how many walls I have to break just to start drawing nowadays. Thank you, btw. I hope things will get better for you too, Adelaida π«

As someone with little to no context, and have no idea what's going on aside from your posts here, I think you should take a bit more time, and not try to "get back in" too soon. When you feel somewhat ok, take a tiny bit more time to make it slightly better, just to be sure. And, as other said too, I'm cool. I'm in the $1 gang anyway, so no biggies. I'd rather keep supporting someone that's in a somewhat not good place and is trying to get up anyway.

Keep it open, Ylvy! I see Patreon not as a "exchange" place (Pay and get whatever the artist/content creator is making), but as a "tip jar": I want to support this awesome artist/content creator. I miss the times when artists focus on the creation of the best piece possible and not worry about coping with algorithms to have a chance. Nowadays, a second wasted feels heavy. As much as we try not to be affected by it.... it's just hard. Also, now we have to compete with AIs which are........ infinitely faster than us. *sigh*

What guilts me is that 'it's someone's hard-earned dollar'... I know well the value of a dollar. Of course I'm glad to get support from those who are willing to, knowing my situation, but yeah...... idk if I'm doing a great job making it clear that I can't promise to give anything to supporters now.

Modern socmed has instilled the idea that as an artist you need to deliver to prove your worth, but this is imo a deeply flawed idea. To be art you need to be free, and in this society everybody needs to help eachother to achieve that. I do not mind chipping in for this. I would keep it open.
