Question Why do Airbus and Boeing use one engine to pressurize the cockpit and another engine to pressurize the cabin instead of using both engines to pressurize each space evenly? Is it to save money on manufacturing, or are there other benefits?

Absolutely stellar job on the animations in this one. 4:10 “compressed .. so much it turns from liquid into smoke” seemed weird, wouldn’t compression do the opposite of that?
