I use ball relative, I changed as I found it easier, you can use whichever you prefer, if you are used to player relative continue to use that one

L1 inside the box, and r stick if someone is nowhere near the ball i.e. cdm is far away and L1 you cant switch to the CDM as it chooses near post players only

Its faster in certain situations, where I dont have time to react or the player is near me,

Why not use the right analog stick to change players? It's much better than l1
