Also y’all forgot little Kisa in the K name roll call! 😂 I didn’t even notice the amount of K names until now. And yes, Katsuya is Tohru’s dad and her grandpa’s son. Just to refresh your memory: the family that took Tohru in during Season 1 is from her dad’s side, the same side that constantly talks trash about her mom. Her mom was actually estranged from her own side of the family, so unfortunately, these are the only relatives Tohru really has left. Poor Tohru 😭 but hey, at least she’s still got Grandpa, and no, he’s not on his deathbed just yet lol. He was just feeling a little tired, that’s all.

By the way all those beautiful character art in the ending of this half of the season is by the original manga artist, Natsuki Takaya. I don't know what it is but the Kyo we season in season 2 going forward hits me in the heart. He is so soft especially around Torhu. They even draw him "soft. Where is my Kyo.
