Naruto Haters: ASSEMBLE!

Lufttwafe

As long as Naruto lost, we all won🫡

Jay18

Sounds good 😌

Dr. Mrugalski

Thanks! I'll just be patient and come back when its time to get to some bangers again!

Jay18

Bye Bye. Take care now ❤️

Dr. Mrugalski

RIP. Sorry J & J, hope you can continue to enjoy your anime journey despite the recent poll results! I probably don't belong in this community anymore if the majority wanted MHA and fruits basket. Sad day :(

Shivo

Looks like Mha is the winner

Jay18

I am actually reeeeally looking forward to MHA! 🌟 The anime’s they are reacting to this time are *chefs kiss*

fox

Since it looks like MHA may win I want to mention that there are no plot spoilers in the Opening or Closing credits, but there are character spoilers in the Opening so if you do not want to see a lot of the upcoming characters then skip the opening for a couple episodes, others can let you know if they agree. I rewatched the first few episodes today and I'm looking forward to the reactions :) this show is kind of a slow burn but it still starts off strong in it's own right.

Kevin

Since it looks like MHA will win, just wanted to give some non-spoiler facts about the show: - MHA is produced by Studio Bones. They also produced Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater, and Mob Psycho 100. - MHA came out in 2016, currently has 7 seasons, and is airing the 8th and final season in October 2025. The manga just finished recently. - MHA has several movies and OVA's between seasons. I'm sure the audience will keep y'all updated as they come up. - Most seasons have 1-2 episodes with post-credit scenes. - Voice actors in MHA: Hannes/Nanami, Floch, young Zeke, Porco, Reiner, Connie, Gabi, Armin/Mai, Eren, Sukuna, Gojo, Inumaki/Kei/Mereum, Panda. - MHA has a very, very large cast of characters. Many characters are also referred to by their first name, last name, or nickname interchangeably. Of all shows, this is the one to have a handy chart on hand. Don't feel bad if you forget them, it takes everyone a long time to actually remember the many difficult names in the show. - Opinion: My personal preference for watching the show is subbed on Crunchyroll.

Gina Queen

I agree, it just feels like a safe option. I think people are just put off by the length of naruto

Ly ID

MHA really? Surprising. It was cool but nothing mind blowing for me. Maybe people are afraid of the long run anime like Naruto.

Jasiii

Oh they have!! I didn’t notice,thank you!

Starlight64

im pretty sure they already watched a silent voice unless im tripping. let me go check

Jasiii

You guys should really watch tokyo ghoul!! Also some movies like a silent voice, your name or weathering with you >>

Snix

I want them to watch ATLA at some point I loved it

Justin Baker

MHA was my very first anime I ever really watched. I guess you could bring up ATLA, but not really an anime. Nevertheless, I used to mess with my cousin for watching anime, and now I watch more than him 😂. All I can say is, the music, the charcters, the development, the fights/animation, all top notch. Starts a little slow, but picks up towards the end of s1. It is a shounen, so expect a lot of the same tropes from shows like jjk and demonslayer, just not as dark themed most of the time. Super excited to see you guys react to my favorite show lol

husso

I hope Naruto wins I like my hero academia but the way they talk is funny lol 😂 but I’m here for the ride.

Shoto IcyHot (Slussh)

I'll def suggest it be on the next one, it deserves it

Imran

its insane the frieren wasnt on any poll

traydo0r

To be fair, I have seen big reactors like Nicolas Light or Haylo and Kiss react to One Piece's old bloated and badly paced adaption and love it so much. Like opinions, you could hate something that others actually like, in this case just be happy One Piece is not winning this poll this time 😅

Alpha

Don’t you want them to watch the newer adaption? I don’t get that? A new modern adaption is being made. Why force them to watch an old, bloated, badly paced anime adaption?

JasonGamer

It just hurts for us Naruto fans when all the comments are saying it’s too long so they’d rather ANYTHING else win. 😔 I know you’re not hating on it as a show.

JasonGamer

I don’t mind I just had to correct the episode count y’all were throwing out. If they market it like this then maybe people would stop being scared to vote for it because of the length broken in halves. Whatever it takes for Naruto to win. I’m tired of it getting second place every poll. 😭😭😭

BSPITTA

Where is Kingdom? I don't care if I am the only person that votes for it. I got to show love for my favorite show. I got too. FMAB got my vote but. I wouldn't mind MHA or Naruto. FMAB was my first anime and Naruto was my second. Its a win-win from my point of view.

DubwoolWooloo

Yeah, lately the fanbase of MHA have been crazier then usual! And that is a really big feat!

JasonGamer

I’m afraid though if they don’t start one of the big 3 earlier their experience might be ruined later due to the difference in pacing from the big 3 to newer animes.

DubwoolWooloo

I just hope that One Piece is the next Otaku Gold, so they catch up before the end! Spoilers will be crazy, if they don't start before Big things are revealed! Things like Naruto and Bleach has been done for years, so spoilers won't be a problem. But it is also early in their anime life so a MHA or FMAB is probably the right series to start. Together with DS and Fr.B

Starlight64

honestly when i first started watching mha i really wasn’t feeling it for the first season but its probably because i was busy binge watching hxh but when season 7 came out in may i told myself i’d binge watch mha from start to finish and i loved every minute of it especially season 6 and 7! i think you guys will really like it if it wins, although its been in the lead basically the whole time- naruto is veryyyyyy close to beating it😔

Phoenix

That could be because it’s focused on high school students, which can give off that slice of life vibe like you were saying. I will say that when we get to later seasons, it does get a little darker.

Gina Queen

SAME

Nistley

I love one piece but understand it's super long so maybe for the next poll they could put the live action instead just so they could get a feel for it :)

JasonGamer

At this point can we just get like one episode of Naruto a month😭 it keeps running in second😭😭😭

Jay18

Oh okay thanks for explaining respectfully. I'm sorry the anime you want isn't currently winning but maybe they'll beat the odds or be the next one up ☺️

Dr. Mrugalski

It was supposed to be a joke on MHA than on slice of life. Most slice of life are chill and dont have an exact purpose or overarching plot. Nothing wrong with that. There are some great slice of life out there and I have no problem with a range of genre. But MHA just gives childish slice of life vibes for way too many seasons and I was hoping for a more serious show out of this poll.

Jay18

Okay I get that but can you not use that genre as a joke? other than that I respect your opinion but we do know that the fact that they continue to make it on the poll means that they WILL react to it at some point right? It's so nice being open-minded and able to enjoy different spectrums of content...i'm hardly ever disappointed. 😌

Dr. Mrugalski

I know its not actually a slice of life, I was making a joke at the expense of the show because in comparison to the other shows on the list, MHA is slow and low stakes, with only a few actually memorable moments whereas the other shows on the list are gold star classic bangers. in my opinion

exportPurple

Please anything but MHA T-T

Jay18

MHA is definitely not slice-of-life and the slice-of-life genre has a lot of serious content (especially Fruits Basket) so not sure what you are trying to say here. My Hero Academia is a Shonen all the way and all of the anime's on this poll (can't speak for Monster) have their unserious moments and fan service as well so...

zo

Naruto!!😭😭 plss (fine w/ skipping fillers)

Manish Dabadi

MHA seems like the best pick here, I do like naruto and one piece more, but naruto is 500+ episodes, one piece is thousands.

Flo

Even though the big three, Monster and FMAB are legendary I still feel like MHA is definitely more addictive in its own way, imo the pacing is also a lot better than the other anime. The Fanbase is definitely the factor that makes people dislike MHA but I really enjoyed the Characters and different Quirks that make every Character interesting in its own way.

Belly p.

it’s definitely not slice of life

Dr. Mrugalski

from watching the show and determining how unserious it is most of the time.

Shivo

MHA is not slice of life, where'd you get that?

Dr. Mrugalski

Since Fruits Basket won the other poll, I dont think we need another slice of life show like MHA

yasmine 🤍

Everyone hating on MHA shows you guys didn't give it the proper chance it deserved, stop implementing the fandom on the actual show itself, give it a watch

Rubi

FMAB jaebal🙏🏻

Thaya

Naruto and One Piece are just to long.. I really want to see their opinions on My Hero Academia, since i think the hate is totally uncalled for. I want to see their analysis/reactions. Jared & Jordan are great people for that🙏❤️‍🔥🙇‍♀️ Plus i think they would LOVE to talk about Lady Nagant

silly goose #1 mahito simp

Fam me toooooo lol. FMAB is slowly catching up but idk if we're gonna manage it 🤞🏼

silly goose #1 mahito simp

😭😭😅

Darksoul174

Then theirs the deku haters which is just stupud

Jay18

Ooooh I see. That makes sense but the fan service doesn’t really bother me but I understand it annoys some people. I mean it’s part of Anime culture though so J&J should also be subjected to it 😅 and yeah it took me a very long time to like Mineta but he is funny sometimes. It’s just an overall likable show and sometimes you just need a different level of enjoyment. They can’t all be like AOT or Naruto all the time lol we need balance. People just love to hate or criticize.

carmen 🫧

only cuz we want something other than naruto to win doesn’t necessarily mean we hating on it… so idk why ur saying this

Jake R

It is usually the fanservice involved in some of the character designs that I see and hear get a lot of hate. Also, Mineta’s entire thing. And people really hate the fandom for some reason that I have never really understood. Every big shonen has toxic fans and I don’t think MHA has any more or less than the Big 3, or AOT, or JJK, etc.

Jay18

What’s the 5%? Put a spoiler warning if necessary but still I wanna know?

britt m

Fandom aside, MHA is a very solid show, im not sure why it gets so much hate?? Like seriously... its kinda ridiculous.

Lufttwafe

People who hate Naruto of course

Jake R

The 5% of MHA that everyone hates is really giving it a bad rap that it doesn’t deserve. It’s a pretty good shonen and it’s almost done, not too long either. Quirks help make for really great character writing. And the music is peak

Jay18

What do you want to win Frederico?

Ida_^^

Me! 😼

Jay18

Me 😇

Jay18

I’ve never seen Monster but I’m willing to start it with J&J if/when it wins.

Alpha

And monster too. 😁

Alpha

Anything but the big 3 lol and I’ve heard some good things so I’d like to give it an honest shot

Alpha

Oh I’m voting for everything outside of the big 3 lol. Admittedly I would prefer FMA and monster cause they’ve been in my top 5 for a a decade which is insane considering I’ve watched 110 ish different anime series.

Starlight64

ME!😼

carmen 🫧

the who in my mind is ME ☝🏽

Tia

Yes, in fact, they can skip the fillers. The 1st time I watched Naruto/+Shippuden, I watched everything including all the fillers. And it wasn't a bad experience [again, personally]. The next 2 times, I watched the anime without the fillers. And it's not difficult to figure out what to skip. Plus, we can explain, or provide links with the filler eps to the twins. They don't have to watch the fillers, too. And Naruto would still remain a top choice, regardless of the fillers. That's not to say that other anime are good or don't deserve a chance above Naruto. I'm just saying that, now that they're done with other series, they could finally also give Naruto a chance, because it's worth it. 😭

JasonGamer

Now that was just uncalled for 🤣🤣

Federico Toxqui

Who in their Fucking mind is voting for MHA

JasonGamer

There’s a reason why its in the big 3, people just love to hate cause “too long” but it’s still an amazing anime. AOT is also amazing but it wasn’t signed to a television program having to put out weekly episodes like naruto hence the filler. Also pretty easy for a mod to point out filler episodes to skip.

JasonGamer

Yeah so they’ll probably never win even though they are the big 3, the pioneers of anime who captivated the American audience, patrons will vote anything besides them cause “too long.”

Alva S

I really hope they react to FMAB, especially because it’s completed 😁

fox

I keep checking back hoping for more FMAB votes 🥲 I have nothing against all the other choices but FMAB will only take a short time and then we can watch a long years+ anime 🥲🥲🥲 please. I do love MHA and will be happy to watch, im slightly obsessed with OP actually and would love that, but I haven't seen the others yet and won't be able to watch those reactions 😞

Jay18

Aww how sweet of you! 💕

Vanessa

it's between MHA & FMAB for me..but if I'm being honest I've never watched FMAB, I just know that some of the patreons have been wanting them to watch it for the longest so I just voted for both 😅

Starlight64

hxh is my all time favorite but i watched naruto first. we all have different takes on things

Shoto IcyHot (Slussh)

the point is variety bud, everyone here has varying opinions

Max

yeah one piece is a legend anime

Max

I watched HunterxHunter with J&J and i like it. But if i compare with Naruto i still say Naruto better in my opinion.. In anime HunterxHunter it's not fully complete the story so maybe because of that

Jay18

Couldn’t have said it better myself Kevin also agree with the pacing in the middle, there is a certain arc I’m not a fan of keyword: gentleman, but other than that the show is great and I love the characters. Can’t wait to see how the guys react them. 😊

Starlight64

if mha doesn’t win i might get off of otaku gold till the next poll but ill TRY to watch whatever wins with them though i already watched naruto and im not a big fan of it- ill still try

Kenken

One piece is my #1 😭 but bleach was the first anime I watched and it's been a journey since then 🙌 those are my only 2 choices

Kevin

I was a pretty big MHA hater for awhile, cause I had only seen a few dubbed episodes before I actually got into anime. And the sub is infinitely better. I’d always heard it was mid, but after finally getting into it I think that undersells it. It has a few basic weaknesses (fan service, some pacing in middle seasons), but also a ton of huge strengths, mainly including a massive cast of side characters that I actually care about. A weird advice I have is to go into it like it’s an action-oriented slice-of-life anime, and you’ll be in the right headspace to enjoy it. MHA has risen to my 2nd favorite standard shonen.

Naki

fmab or monster but realistically ig naruto

Starlight64

noo im not

Max

so what would u like to win?

Naki

this is so cooked if my hero wins

Jay18

Yay! why not vote for it too and watch it with J&J?

Zoro’s Enma!

One piece is a literal masterpiece with great storytelling and world building and a very unique story, PLSSS

Zoro’s Enma!

ONE PIECE!!! I’ve started watching you guys bc of bts reactions and I’ve always loved your deep dives and your comments and OP is THE anime for you guys PLSSSS I’m not saying this lightly, you would absolutely LOVE it

C-rad

Arcane season 2 superior than all🤣

Ashley K

Mod chooses the episodes to watch by filtering out the fillers.

Alpha

And isn’t there a new modern adaption for OP coming soon? I’d vote instantly for that. Not this 1000+ episode drawn out, poorly paced, outdated monstrosity.

antionette7

same @taetaebear01

Alpha

Hmm, I’ll try it out sometime. I think you convinced me.

Snix

As much as i want one piece it shouldn’t happen, holding up gold for that long is insane and i don’t think they’re ready for a show like that yet. Ive never watched fmab but now may be a good time to start.

Snix

They might need to drop 2 episodes a day occasionally for one piece😭😭 the peacing can suck sometimes but the lore is amazing when u get far into it

Jay18

🤣

Jay18

My Hero Academia is packed with diverse characters, each with their own unique powers, personalities, and backstories. The concept of "powers" or "quirks" as they are referred, offers a fresh twist on superpowers—everyone’s abilities are different, ranging from flashy and dramatic to subtle but incredibly powerful, which makes the battles both creative and unpredictable. The fight scenes are not only visually stunning but also emotionally charged and well-choreographed. The stakes always feel real, with characters facing moral dilemmas, personal losses, and moments of growth that hit hard. Despite the intense battles and drama, the show balances it all with humor and lighter moments, giving it a well-rounded appeal. And the villains? They’re not just evil for the sake of being evil—many have complex motivations and backstories that challenge traditional ideas of good vs. evil. Honestly, it’s like Marvel superheroes brought to life in anime form, with emotional storytelling, imaginative powers, and jaw-dropping battles. I’m not sure if this explanation will convince you, but these are the reasons I love the anime—so, I gave it my best shot! 😅

Alpha

I’ve never watched MHA. I guess I never took it seriously from what I’ve seen of it. Talk me into it

abi

oh lord my hero pls win

Alpha

My god, putting Naruto above hxh and aot is insanity. I’m glad they watched AOT and HxH or otherwise they’d still be in Naruto watching bad filler.

Alpha

Yeah who decides which episodes to skip ( cause of bad filler). OP plus Naruto plus Bleach is 5 years. That’s literal torture. They could watch so much other anime from a variety of genres instead of being stuck on that stuff.

Alpha

The manga maybe but definitely not the anime

Alpha

Naruto/OP please no. If Naruto/OP win that means I’ll be giving up Otaku Gold

Alpha

They are too long. They’ll take years to finish

Alpha

Save us from Naruto 😭 (and frankly the entire big 3)

St Patrick Brown

😭😭

JasonGamer

Naruto and One Piece are too long apparently, people don’t want to commit to those

St Patrick Brown

Come on peeps why is My hero still winning🙆🏾‍♂️🙆🏾‍♂️

Sitting_Bear (Rene)

Nah man, I ain't ever giving up on the my captain. You can jam out to Blue Bird all you want, imma blast the Drums of Liberation!! /Lh

Vielka Bennett

FMAB is the only correct answer y’all. Lol

Jinx's Baby Daddy(Brandon)

Please vote for FMAB!

Jay18

I really hope My Hero Academia wins. I know J&J will love it! (unless FMAB somehow overtakes the poll) but I think they NEED to react MHA right now with everything else they have going on reaction wise, it will be a nice little brain break and stress relief as the story has great pacing and a calmer tone so it's got my vote 😌

Itachi Uchiha (Ericken)

I tell u what. Give up on one piece. At this point, it ain't winning. Come to the Naruto side. Next pole I will vote one piece with you, my Brotha!

Itachi Uchiha (Ericken)

Yeah. Bleach is gonna lose. But if you vote Naruto this time, I will got ur back on the next pole. I will pick bleach. And lm not even a bleach fan

FMAB 🥰

Lufttwafe

Exactly what I thought, nothing good on the pole😭

Starlight64

but im hoping mha wins, lets goo!!!

Starlight64

the guy spamming naruto under every comment😂

Drawinecc

This will cause a war xD

JasonGamer

Sadly because “too long” looks like it will never win. Otherwise, One Piece and Naruto is clearing everything by a mile.

Jay18

I agree and honestly with some of the heavier anime’s they’re tackling this go round it will be a needed relief for them. Also it’s such a good anime 😊

Winifred

Omg pls monster 😭

Kevin

My Hero Academia just feels right to me for where they’re at in their anime journey.

Belly p.

isn’t winning

accomplice

One Piece, Naruto and FMAB

Odys

One piece is a masterpiece.

Itachi Uchiha (Ericken)

I'd pay for 2 people patrons gold subscription, who isn't a subscriber, for this month, if they vote Naruto! I'm serious. So l can send you the money and you find the person lol

Neko

But knowing this makes it even worse for me because who is making the call about what episodes to watch or not? The poll doesn't specify cannon only episodes. I have nothing against long series, especially great ones, but I can't get behind committing 2.5 years in something that doesn't have at least a 50% vote.

Itachi Uchiha (Ericken)

I want Naruto to win but you're right, though. They're no lost in this pole. They're all great anime.

taetaebear01 (Lindsey E.)

Voted for FMAB and Monster

if you skip the filler its "only" 425 canon ep for naruto+shippuden, and the filler in naruto and shippuden are totaly skipable and bring nothing... naruto have like 230 ep but only 125 are canon and 95 are filler for shippuden is more or less 500 ep but only 300 canon and 200 filler, (naruto is famous for having more or less 6 years of filler episode ( 295 filler, with 1 episode per week, 51 weeks a year, 295 episodes make 6 years x)

Where are we getting these numbers from lmao. Naruto is around 130 episodes no filler and Shippuden is around 280.

L. Trajano Ghirga

that was the nerdest thing i ever read in my life geez

Neko

770 episodes is a 2.5 year tie up on the channel. You went around complaining over FruBa because you didn't want it to tie up a slot for a couple of months, but you don't have any concern over tying up a gold tier for years?

Itachi Uchiha (Ericken)

If you're not voting Naruto because you think it's too long then your no true fan of Naruto. The ones who truly love Naruto is voting for Naruto as we speak. You can say that you love Naruto but if you're the one who's avoiding voting for Naruto then you're not. A fan shows he's a fan by his/her vote not by his/her words. So l dnt believe you. this comparison didn't make any sense. I love naruto with all my heart, but the first 220 episodes will take a long time, like a year or smth like that. Naruto classic and shippuden have 900 episodes, will take 3 years.
