I saw episode 1 of this on yt and knew I had to sub to watch it uncensored here haha. Gonna enjoy this ride with you guys!

Jannae' Sifontes

I finally had to join because omfg, I LOVE this series. It's easily in my top ten at this point. My dad and I have watched all of it together, including going to the movies to see the theater releases. To say I'm excited to relieve this again through you guys is a massive understatement! Buckle up because it's a helluva ride!!

Starlight64

yayy we get another demon slayer reaction tmr🤭

Emily V8

The intro or outro always has spoilers 😭😭😭😭

Shoto IcyHot (Slussh)

Agreed

Alexk

I have been waiting for this one. GOATED for sure

Neko

OMG SAME! My heart sank when they paused for the names 💔

Imran

true

Yo stxrmzy Games

YES YES YES YES YESSSSS

Jay18

They said during this reaction that this was the only week where they would be releasing only 1 episode, starting next week they'll be releasing two episodes at a time every Monday.

Deimantas

There are definitely some dry moments in S1, but it still has several peak episodes that rival even the ones in later parts of the series.

Deimantas

Is this a once a week reaction? I think it deserves at least 2 episodes per week given how long it is. Otherwise it will take you over a year to get through it. You'll love demon slayer, trust me. This anime is most well known for its lovable characters and incredible animation. This was the anime that pushed the frontier of animation when it came out, because no one saw anything like it before.

Kiryuu Yona

It's not that we like to see you react to devastating anime, it's that most often devastating animes have a better plot line and wide range of emotions and depth as the show needs to make the watcher the pain and suffering that the characters are going through. while with happy stuff, happiness is contagious easily lol at least imo

Is it me or streamable isn't working at all!!

Hello J&J! I'm back here again! (I unsubscribed for a few months due to my financial difficulties). I got hooked to this anime from the very first episode and became one of my long list of favorites. So excited! Thank you so much! I'm so excited for you see this new world and new characters that I'm sure you'll grow to love too. P.S. I'll binge watch the reactions I haven't seen yet after watching this reaction.

Happy Belated Heavenly Birthday to your Mom 🎂💜 So excited for you both to watch this! My little sister introduced me to Demon Slayer during the pandemic. I couldn’t believe this 9 year old was watching it (along with AOT) but it quickly became our thing, so naturally it’s a favorite. She’s 13 now and we still keep up with it. As the oldest of five siblings, I really felt for Tanjiro—his bond with his family and the heartbreak of losing them always hits hard. His maturity and resilience, even under such devastating circumstances, are incredible. I don’t know if I could be as strong during a time like that. Life can change as suddenly as the weather, as he said. Maybe I do love animes with trauma 🥲 but they always have so much depth and they’ve taught me some beautiful and soul-finding lessons. 😌 Can’t wait for next week! Have a wonderful New Year Jared, Jordan and everyone here!

Julien

Let's go ! So happy to see you two embarking on a new journey. This one will be quite interesting and packed with emotions. I'll be here for all of it !

Spicy Salami

So glad that you guys are watching this, this was one of the first anime's I ever watched and I'm happy that you guys get to experience it too. As you heard, the pacing is very well done and the storytelling is consistent and interesting. Hoping that you speed your way through to season 2, it's my personal favorite. I also find it funny that after watching JJK you still cant get away from Geto as Giyu has the same voice actor lol. Anyway, have a happy new year, can't wait for more of these.

J-Lee

I agree. But thankfully, J&J are usually the type who don't get influenced easily by negative comments. So I'm sure they'll enjoy watching this too 😊💜

Kevin

If you’re able to comment here I’m pretty sure you should also have access to the episode. Are you implying you can’t watch this Demon Slayer episode?

antionette7

Here for a rewatch. I dropped the series after the movie was released. Giving it another go with you! And happy heavenly birthday to your mom.🙏🏻❤️

antionette7

Different paid tiers have different privileges and access to different shows. So, depending on which shows you are interested in , purchase accordingly. I believe Fruits Basket is in the Gold tier.

Isabelladoll

I’m newly subscribed on patreon so I’m confused on how the otaku gold works?😭 I assumed fruits basket (when they start it)or demon slayer would be apart of it or is it only certain shows? I’m debating if I should upgrade or not

Imran

never liked the first season but the rest is very good

Tay

I'm excited about this and hope you guys enjoy it! I have yet to see a reaction channel dislike this series at all despite the constant comments discrediting it lmaooo I mean to each their own that is totally fine not everyone has to like the same things, however, it's frustrating when people talk so negatively ( like not criticism or why they did not personally enjoy it but simply just concluding the show is "bad" which is not true, it just was not for them) about a show before the reactors even get a chance to form their own opinions. Anywayyysss, this is one of my favorites personally. I will say that it took me a little longer to get fully invested but once I was (towards the later half of this season/arc) I absolutely adore this series for more than just the great animation loll.. I'm actually now reading through the manga as we wait for the end of the anime.. But anyway I am excited to rewatch this with you guys, it's definitely a solid series and one I feel is good for those who are newer to watching anime tbh :)

Jay18

I literally always forget Tomioko’s name 😂 At the beginning I remembered Tanjiro’s name by thinking “Tangerine” 😅

Jay18

I know what you mean, I don’t know how to keep mine short either 😅 but like I said, we love reading them so keep it up! 🤗

J-Lee

True, I was like y'all don't need to write all the names down 😔 But J&J writing the names will help going forward coz I myself had a difficult time getting used to the names of the characters. They were too hard to memorize lol 😩

J-Lee

Lol good question. J&J are the sweetest brothers, they're just like Tanjiro I'm sure. Tho I think Kaia (their sister) could kick any demon's a** anytime, she doesn't need J&J's rescuing 😅 Lol peace out Kaia, miss yahhh! 💜

J-Lee

Aww you make me blush Jay18 lol 😅 Thanks, sometimes my comments just get too long can't help it tho 😆 Happy new year, may we all have a more prosperous 2025! 🙌🏻💜

J-Lee

I so agree 💯

Jay18

You write so eloquently I love reading your comments. Looking forward to the New Year! 🎊 💜

ZedStar

when yall started writing down names of Tanjiro's family members i was like "there wont be a need for that" haha anyways Demon Slayer is very very good, you boys will love it

J-Lee

AAHHHH!! Demon Slayer officially starts yayyy!! 🙌🏻 First of all, happy birthday to your mum, Kristen. I'm sure you had a lovely day celebrating her memories. Her smile is still very clear in my mind whenever you talk about her 💜 I'm sooo in for another rewatch of DS with you, ahhhh! I'm so excited 🤩 The animation, every single step of Tanjiro on that snow was so real. And unlike other anime, it wasn't only the background that has great animation, but also the characters, their movements, even the blades of their katanas. Gahhh I love this anime! 🥹🥰💜 That thing on Tanjiro's forehead was like a birthmark, I believe 😊 Tanjiro and Nezuko are just so, so precious. The way they held hands at the end was just really touching for me. 🥹 Btw, pls note for next episode that you're gonna have to watch until the very end for some cute treats 😊💜 Thanks for this reaction, and advance Happy New Year to you mah FAVE brothers and to everyone here!! 🎇

J.R. Worsing

HELLA HYPE!!!

Val

Let's goooo!! Demon Slayer is much better than people give it credit. Beautiful animation, yes, but the story and emotions it evokes are so good! To more seasoned anime watchers it may come off as "basic shonen" but even if that's true, I find Demon Slayer to do all the simple things perfectly and I love it ❤️ great 1st reaction and I can't wait to continue down this journey with y'all 🔥

lissa

SO HAPPY

Federico Toxqui

2 per week? Nah man do 6 per week

Jay18

Guys, them writing down the names of his family members in the beginning ugh! my heart 😓 Also a lot of people talk about the animation in Demon Slayer but the music!!! Fun fact: almost every anime fan knows Demon Slayers OP..I went to a con once and someone played it and literally everyone was singing it! Even people who weren't fans of the show lol

Hilary

Yes so happy you guys are reacting to one of my favorite anime’s. I hope you guys enjoy this amazing anime. 🔥❤️

taetaebear01 (Lindsey E.)

I absolutely adore tanjiro 🥰 this show is a little inconsistent for me but the highs fly soooo so high. Looking forward to this watch

Snix

Crazy how anime can make you reflect on things in real life. Im late but happy birthday to your mother, rest in piece.❤️

Kevin

Glad to see you guys get introduced to a new animation studio - Ufotable. Their most popular work is Demon Slayer. Another popular series is Fate, though I haven’t seen that one yet myself. They don’t have quite as many heavy hitters as MAPPA, but the shows they do have are all known for their smooth, detailed, and vibrant animation style. I’m no expert, but I’ve read this is largely due to a greater emphasis on the back-end of the animation process (compositing, lighting, cg environment integration, camera effects) to compliment their 2D animations. Side note: Tanjiro is the same VA as Falco in AoT. Eren, Connie, Reiner, Marco, Marlo, Zeke, child Zeke, and Willy Tybur all make appearances as well. I’m curious to see if you guys pick up on Eren Yeager’s VA, I was almost unable to see the Demon Slayer character as anyone other than Eren after realizing it.

ShortyP

🤯Happy Doubled J are finally getting in to Demon Slayer, I couldn't wait to hear ya'll discuss and analyze this series. Enjoying it already!!!! Appreciate ya'll!!!

Murmur

Onto the Demon Journey with J&J !! So excited to be rewatching this with you both

Kenken

There should be a warning to newbies 😆 Welcome to the anime community Traumolympics!

Michael Nguyen

I've been waiting for this since I first subscribed to your patreon. A lot of people put this anime down because they believe the story sucks and that it is carried by the animation but frankly, not every story needs to be convoluted with 50 plot twists. Sometimes it's nice to watch a show that doesn't require much brain power but hits you in the feels instead. Excited to see y'all experience this journey

carmen 🫧

anyways i’m so excited for u guys to watch. and im glad im able to rewatch with u guys 😎

carmen 🫧

GIYUUU MY MANS haha

Lemon

I think Giyu must have had similar experiences as Tanjiro, because what he says to Tanjiro, who is weak now, is super like what one would want to say to his once weak self. Giyu mentioned that pure anger that cannot be forgiven can be a firm driving force to move forward, which is impossible to say unless you have experienced it yourself

Itachi Uchiha (Ericken)

J&J. What if that was your sister and she turned into a demon. What whould you do? lol

Ana Carolina Diniz Guedes

Demon Slayer finallyyyyyyy! Hi, my favorite twins! I hope you enjoy this amazing anime a lot🫶🏻🙏🏻

Kenken

Finalllyyyyy!!!!!! This anime holds a special place in my heart. I'm so looking forward to this! ❤️

Badriya

GUYS this is just the first episode. it will be great enjoy!! I'm really excited to rewatch it DS one of my fav anime.

Angélica Hernández

The OST on this anime is one of the best, so nuanced and captures the characters feeling and moods very well. The show has some "comedy moments" that kind of help you go along with the heart wrenching story, the gore and the injustice 😔

Zaria Parker

It’s here! Say what you want about Demon Slayer but the animation is BEAUTIFUL! Excited to rewatch with you guys.

Itachi Uchiha (Ericken)

LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

britt m

Whew!!! How fun~ I'm excited for this rewarch with you guys~

fox

I've been keeping an eye out for this all morning, let's goooo 🥳 literally y'all start writing down everyone's names... 👀😬 I think y'all might have caught on to some of the most popular anime out there are coated in darkness and trauma, humans are weird lol 😆 honestly y'all gonna be missing Haikyu soon 😋

husso

Finalyy

Wow the day has come when you see how different drawings in anime can be. When I first started watching when this show was coming out, I stopped halfway through the first episode because of how different the art style was but a friend convinced me to start it up again, and what a gift it was. This show is beautiful and I'm prepared for the journey. All love

Sean Harding

All right fellas, get ready for one of the most beautiful and horrifying animes ever made✊🏾 I have cried multiple times watching this series. From the action, to the voice acting, and the ANIMATION is TOP-TIER🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
