Disabling Apple store's dumb price increase
🕑 Added 2024-08-12 22:40:38 +0000 UTCI don't know what's more baffling, the fact they decided to increase it on my behalf by default or that a billion dollar company needs anyone else's extra dollar. Anyways, it's off now. if you're subscribed to my patreon through the apple store (which, I'll be honest, I don't know how that works because I don't have an Iphone) you should no longer be charged any extra!

Ahhhh gotcha. Guilty of only reading the headline and having my eyes glaze over whenever I see the words "apple" and "charge".

I gather they only start charging in November, and only for new subscriptions via ios app. https://news.patreon.com/articles/understanding-apple-requirements-for-patreon . Apple's greed knows no bounds.
