CYOA #5: BIGSTARS, INTERSTITIAL (+ BRACKET 2 POLL)
🕑 Added 2024-10-14 09:45:05 +0000 UTCOkay, lost a weekend last week, due to further wackiness...but we're back at it, with what was supposed to be a simple bridge chapter, going into the next bracket...
But the only way this wound up working was through a LOT of moving parts, so lo and behold, this sucker became the biggest chapter yet XD Not trying to make each bigger, it's just happening on its own. I swear!!
We're finally cycling back as the first afternoon descends into evening–this time we'll likely be doing a shorter bracket, as is the case with tourney-style, likely three parts! Characters that were 1-on-1 will be converging and mingling with others, making this bracket more complicated, so the chapters will likely be...well, probably bigger >.> We'll see!
So, new lineup possibilities are here–they can be totally expected, or wild and randomly unpredictable! The top lineups will be chosen, then we'll have another interstitial, before bracket 3: the big finale!
Same rules: the TOP THREE choices go in, and with each post (same as before), I'll poll to see which of the picked characters will get the biggest, and how they'll grow! Some will be friends, others will fight! You'll see as it comes together! <3 The story will shift in order to make the top choices happen, forcing me to stay creative! Unchosen characters will still be mentioned, just not as prominently!
**FOR EACH NAME LISTED FIRST, ONLY THE TOP CHOICE WILL BE PICKED! NO MULTIPLE LEGOSHI OR JUNO LINEUPS, ETC, WE CAN'T HAVE MULTIPLES WITH THE SAME CHARACTER, NO PARADOXES!
THAT MEANS THE TOP THREE CHOICES THAT DON'T CREATE A PARADOX WILL BE CHOSEN! THE TOP CHOICE HAS TO HAPPEN, MEANING THE NEXT MOST POPULAR THAT *CAN* HAPPEN WILL GET PICKED, SAME WITH THE THIRD! THIS WAY, IT'S MUCH HARDER TO PREDICT HOW THE FINAL LINEUP WILL GO!
**Lastly, you'll all notice BONUS options on the bottom--the top of those will get folded into the chapters, as a fun extra! Choose wisely!
Whew, okay, we know who won what last bracket...again, there's still a shorter third bracket after this, so don't be afraid to play around with these! What lineups are we going with, this time, as things heat up, and heights rise higher!?

Hehe, funny enough, I had to rewrite the dimensions of the cage lattices on each level of the pit a couple of times, yeah XD I kept wondering how to convey the setup, so that is understandable! Glad it was still a fun read, bro! =3

Whew...lord alive bro, this was an intense but amazing chapter! The interactions and how well written they to match their personalities, the size of these containment area sites and how the giants are handled, the insane growths, the details with how Melon's growth is triggered, its all described so incredibly well! And way to make Melon's growth just a sheer nightmare scenario as he's rapidly filling out the cage he's in...and beyond that as he's filling the pit. I know you already did so in the previous chapter with Gosha and Melon but this chapter just solidified how terrifying Melon is gonna be from here on, and....well really Ogma as well! And I know this is not SFW in the slightest, but its a bit surprising how hyper the male cast is getting, I'm not complaining just hard to not notice there's LOTS of hyper going on X///D I admit I got a little lost at how the layout for the massive cages when Melon was crashing onto them one after the other but that's it, the rest is very coherent =3 Loving how this is going bro, keep up the amazing work! <3

Thanks! I never want them to be a slog, or to have confusing action, so I try to keep things moving (as opposed to trim and tight, which they aren't X3)

DNA, buddy. Pal. Friendo. Bless you from the absolute depths of my heart for this chapter. Regardless of how the rest of the story pans out, regardless of how the future chapters go, this will be the crowning jewel to me. The culmination of the entire first bracket, most of everyone meeting up together, interacting, it was wonderful. I’m no fan of Yahya but wow did this story do a lot to get me on his side too. Of course my preferred choice won out here and it was fantastic. Everything I could ever have dreamed and more. From the moment they showed Melon my heart was racing in anticipation of what was coming up. And when it did? Hoooooooo boy it was a non-stop rollercoaster of action packed joy. I even got a chuckle when someone shouted “DIG OUT, NOT UP!” because although I read it like that, my brain went “DIG UP, STUPID!” And then that ending! Those last few lines sent literal shivers down my spine because (and don’t tell me if I’m right) the idea of Louis being this almighty, looming, evergrowing presence that everyone lives in fear of simply just because of his mere existence…. Hwoah…mercy me I do declare I’ve come down with a case of the vapours… I’ve cast my votes for the next sections and I have a big feeling about what’s going to happen when/if Melon/Oguma return and if it does? I will flood this comment section with a mighty post showcasing my delight. Once again, thank you for writing such absolute peak Bigstars. The characterisation is on point and even a little silly and fun to contrast with the canon. And your growth dialogue as ever really hits hard. You absolutely capture the moment to moment fun, panic and frantic movements with every syllable. I cannot wait to see where it goes!

Wow. There's a lot to choose from. Trying to figure out who will be included with who isn't going to be simple. Especially since this is my first time voting for a bracket for this story. I personally will need to look into these very carefully to figure out who'll go (& grow) with who. But since these characters will grow any which way, the decision is more focused on the story itself, rather than the growth. And seeing on how this story is on even and equal grounds with the growth for my preferences, I'm really going to need to take my time with this one. So the story can fit in very well for itself. Best case scenario, I pick multiples of who I want to see, and find out which ones will fit after the polling period is over. But after I read this next part, I'm still going to try and include everyone that are the most involved, so they can grow more. With the best matchups for this story too. And the Bonus Side Growth will also need some time, since only one character will be added in. (Except I'm at least going to pick Ten, and see about choosing another character later.)
