W.I.P #121 (Animated) - Mimi(kyu)
🕑 Added 2025-05-07 21:47:11 +0000 UTCback pain is still present but im nothing if not a trooper - here's my progress on the mimi animation.
as much as i hate to sound like a broken record in these, i'm probably gonna sound like a broken record anyways, so oh well. initially, i was gonna block out the facial animation for mimi - but since that can end up getting a bit hard to organize on top of everything else (since i might block out whole movements in chunks as to not just shift to another pose inorganically - i.e., hands might continue moving for another few frames rather than stopping with the head on the same frame), i'm gonna save that bit for after I've done the movement portion of things (that said, there is a little bit that i did towards the end of this segment but it's more there as a point of reference). i think the biggest challenge of this one is gonna be the "cloth" bits. mostly just keeping them from clipping through the body and stuff like that. so far, i think i'm doing decent in that regard, though it could probably use a bit more touching up.
while it's still a little too early to show my progress on the second half - here's a shot of the position to give you guys a little peek. i don't expect the second half to take as long since there's less cloth stuff to worry about (and it's about the same length as this) - so that's all fine and dandy.
but yeah, progress is going pretty smoothly and I've gotten a lot of the tedious bits finished early, so i should be able to knock out the second half along with the facial animation and everything else over the course of the next handful of days if nothing catastrophic happens. till then, enjoy the preview and thanks for your support as always :]
