W.I.P #119 (Animated) - WITH OVER A POUND OF MEAT & CHEESE THE PIZZA HUT MEAT LOVER’S® PIZZA IS JAM-PACKED WITH EVERYTHING YOU CRAVE AND THEN SOME AND THEN SOME MORE
🕑 Added 2025-05-01 00:35:30 +0000 UTCsorry this took me a little more time to get ready than usual! i decided to take a short break yesterday since there was a lot of housekeeping stuff i wanted to take care of (and because i was admittedly slightly burnt out, though thankfully im feeling more motivated now). I've also just been fighting for my life against allergies because it's that lovely time of year where my body does a 50/50 coinflip on whether it wants to be hypersensitive to pollen or not - this year it decided it did (which sucks extra because i have to go outside for at least 30 minutes a day to clean out the filter for my koi pond but it is what it is).
nevertheless, here i am with another wip for you guys of the current animation (which like the last viewport render, took an absurdly long amount of time for reasons i still cannot grasp - but thankfully it shouldn't matter in the actual render). I've been taking some more time on this one than anticipated since i decided to add a second half to it (as doing any sorta meaningful climax in the original first half didn't turn out looking natural or interesting enough). at the moment, all that I've got left to do is animate llydian's face, simulate the fluid (pray for me), set up the scene/lighting, and some basic physics adjustments (very few tbh. i considered doing thigh physics but that likely would cause a lot of issues since the characters are in such close proximity. if i don't run into anymore issues, i might very briefly try setting that up, but right now i'm just gonna hold off on doing that till i'm actually done with the other stuff). there's also the general polishing, which this does need - but that's usually pretty brief since i do a lot of it along the way. lastly, there's a little jank with miyaoka's hair (for some reason, enabling any sort of collision with it just disables the physics completely, so i may just have to bake the physics and manually adjust parts when it is visibly clipping - which thankfully doesn't seem to be SUPER often)
though honest to god i will say that this might be one of my absolute favorite ways that I've done a loop - like both in terms of animation quality and with "making it make sense" (for lack of a better term). it was a fucking headache to get looking right, but im glad i spent some extra time on it because im very pleased with the way it turned out.
anyways that's my yap, hope you enjoy the preview! i'll be back in another couple of days with the HQ release (minus sound for now, as usual, since i'd like to get started on a concept the mimi project fairly soon. might work on that whenever i'm rendering or taking a quick break from this).

Looks great so far, but best of luck with the fluid simulations!
