W.I.P #115 (Animated) - Shiba X Nutter
🕑 Added 2025-04-16 06:56:36 +0000 UTChey, got the first animated wip for this ready to share! i took an extra day to rest up from the last project since i ended up neglecting my sleep a LOT more than i should've trying to get the skit finished (which i usually try to avoid doing, don't worry).
but yeah, this covers about the first half of the animation - though still obviously needs a little work (i also may try extending some of the shots just since they do feel a bit short as is - but that might just be me). the second half is gonna include the climax and such (a good chunk of it is dedicated to the "aftermath" portion since i felt like trying something more intimate this time around - hence the overall slower movement and closer proximity). i've got most of the second half blocked out and ready to animate, so that should be pretty simple to finish with little difficulty (there are some bits that might prove to be a challenge in terms of transitions - but I've taken on harder stuff, so it's nothing i dont think i can handle).
the faces haven't been animated (as usual with these WIPs), might actually ask shiba for her input on what to do with the eyes (since in the art of these two they tend to almost, if not always, be closed). given the changing camera angles, i shouldn't really have to spend too much time doing the expressions since the faces aren't exactly on screen during certain parts (or are facing away from the camera). one other thing is that there IS some clipping - though that won't be present later on. i tried to minimize it without fully relying on physics to do the work for me - but there's bound to be some still clipping lingering during certain poses. that being said, it'll be addressed once i get the physics polished up. they're mostly already done (since i've found that doing it at the start of a project tends to minimize issues later on) but the collision still needs a bit of finetuning so certain parts don't get all funky mid-animation or just ignore collision altogether (which is a particularly fun recurring issue).
as a whole though, i'm pretty pleased with how smoothly it's going and i'm looking forward to getting the rest of it ready to share in a few days (either as a second WIP or the full render depending on how quickly i am able to do it)! in the meantime, im gonna get some sleep so i dont end up overexerting myself again like last time lmao
till then, enjoy the preview and i'll be seeing you again soon :]

only very occasionally, don't worry :] i know how important it is to keep up with sleep and i've gotten wayyy better with it over the last few years. i appreciate the concern regardless!

I can't wait to see the next WIP too! Also, you've been neglecting your sleep?? You should continue it the next day instead, we can all wait. Your health is more important!
