W.I.P #74 - Meowskulls X Highwire (plus some WIP shots for the Shiba/Death joke animation)
🕑 Added 2024-11-24 12:19:20 +0000 UTChey hey it's me again. it's been pretty busy over the last few days, but I've been hard at work. pretty wordy post up ahead (just because i feel extra verbose today), so i underlined the important bits for those of you who understandably don't feel like reading an essay
anyways, i finally managed to set aside some time to get a little preview shot for the meowskulls animation worked on. due to how the pose is set up, I've opted to make the ratio vertical this time (to minimize empty space and get an overall better view of everything. it's still pretty early in, so i still need to make some adjustments to the pose (finger posing and such) - but i definitely like how it's looking so far. might have to remove the sleeves on meowskulls (since they're acting up a bit), but everything else appears to be in working order (even the dick i slapped on highwire - which im absolutely shocked is even working at all given how i kind of just winged it).
lighting and bg still need to be set up, though ill save that for later on. so for now i just rendered it with a plain background with basic world lighting. also not quite sure how im gonna do meowskulls' face, though ill figure something out - chances are it'll probably be sort of like how i did raven team leader's face in my older SFM animations (basically just jumping between the expressions, since there's no way to smoothly transition between them and sculpting anything aside from maybe the mouth would be far too messy for someone with my limited experience)
might be another day or two before i can start working on this 100% since i still need to finish the joke version for the previous animation - as usual, i'll try to keep you guys as updated as i can
sidenote: the aforementioned joke version for the shiba animation has ended up being a bit longer than i originally anticipated - no issues or anything, it's going quite well actually - it's just a lengthier animation than usual
but either way, i'm looking forward to sharing it once it's all done! i'd say i'm like halfway done, maybe a bit over halfway - so just bear with me in the meantime :]though for the hell of it, here's a couple wip shots from that which im pretty fond of
anyways, i'm gonna be heading up to the mountains today (though as mentioned before, i will be bringing my PC, it might just be a slightly slower day in terms of productivity since i'll be moving around a lot). so i'll be seeing you guys as soon as i have something else to share!

the joke stuff is on my twitter, newgrounds, and e621 (plus other sites, though the listed ones are just the sites i post them on personally). the joke version for the previous animation is still in the works (though that's likely to be finished within a day or two)
