It's interesting to think about how we take for granted our clothes' functionality, such as buttoned and zippered flies, or shoelaces, or a bra if you wear one. These are things we completely understand because we grew up with them. But in fact it wouldn't necessarily be obvious how they work if you didn't have a cultural context for them. (E.g. if you don't wear a bra and you've never tried to help someone with theirs, they can be really finicky.) I tried to capture the same sort of thing here, where clothes for hypers would likely have a lot of extra rigging for support, or even just decoration. But if you've never had to deal with that before, it would actually be kind of confusing!

This is definitely where having his clothes mprphed to fit his new dimensions makes things a bit tricky. If they'd had that configuration to begin with he'd have some idea of how they worked. That said, our own reality isn't entirely free of such things. Consider the fads for decorative zippers and buckles that don't actually DO anything, but look like they might (hello 1990s!).
