Perspective Shift Story Progression Poll
🕑 Added 2025-02-13 23:05:55 +0000 UTCAs I mentioned yesterday when I posted page 39, I'm at a nice branching off point as to what happens next in the comic. There was a lot of discussion in the comments from people on both sides on what should happen next. So I figured I'll put it up for a vote!
Option 1: Continue what I originally have written. My plan for the next page (possibly 2) was to have a montage of Quentin going through his day, which would include more jerking off / cumming. This would advance time to the evening in one page where the plot would continue. There are more sex scenes coming up, but not for about 10 pages.
Option 2: Have an interlude where Quentin explores his body again. It's going to be more masturbation I think, he's not hooking up with anyone yet. But I've got an idea for it that I didn't think I'd get to include in the story, so if people go for this option, this is where I'm going to put it. This would expand out the montage page into 5 - 10 pages before plot picks up again.
My thinking was to continue the plot as quickly as possible because I figured after the reveal in this section people would be interested in seeing what happens. Hence a montage and skipping forward to the evening. But I'm also trying to balance the story and lewd scenes, so this is a perfect time for another one if that's what folks prefer.

I don't really mind doing it either way. That said, the masturbation scene will reveal a bit more about the world and I can use it to set up some things for later. The more I think about it, the more I think it's the way to go~ ;>

You should draw what you really want to draw, as i always find that is the most rewarding. Although, to me, solo masturbation is not as fun as larger groups (although harder to draw)

The montage is the short version. It'd just be one page. If I expand the montage out to a full scene that would be extra work. But yes, I'd still enjoy it either way. :> I was just curious what others wanted to see next.

I think it all comes down to do you think you'd enjoy the montage. It's a lot of extra work. The trade off would be will you enjoy the montage enough to justify holding off on the big plot payoff?

Well, that's a difficult decision. Quentin's character development is also an exciting field. More room for new ideas and changes on the way to the story's goal. Fast development or more thrill and depth... I have a question: could it be that Quentin's male characters have become more athletic and muscular, or am I misinterpreting the pictures?

i wound up voting for expansion (har har). definitely interested in seeing where things are going plotwise, but scrolling through the comic as a whole, i think a little interlewd scene wouldn't be unwelcome in terms of pacing. (though i seem to be missing page 2 entirely...? that, or it's not been tagged with "Perspective Shift".)
