Apple fee for new members >:(
🕑 Added 2024-08-12 19:07:35 +0000 UTCToday I received the news that, starting in November, the Apple store will be charging new Patrons joining via the iOS app a 30% fee. This money does not go to creators but right into Apple’s pocket. This does not affect current members, only new and returning members.
Creators also have the choice to absorb the fee ourselves but this isn’t fair to us. It’s also not fair for patrons so if you use the iOS app, make sure to use an android app or web browser when becoming a new or returning member to save yourself some money. You can still use the iOS app to view and interact with content, this only affects you when joining a membership. Thank you for reading!
