a bit late, but you misspelled "redemption" at 12:00, "impoverished" at 18:20, and "laissez-faire" at 43:56. edit: didn't realise hitting return would just post the comment like an IM. great video! while it's hard to continue calling this series 'Franklin' when the only mention of the town is a quick thing at the end, i do like how the jig's up and it's basically just philly. that was pretty funny. as always it's great to just listen to a long, conversational tract on how crap the US is when you turn away from the official accounts.

I feel like your underselling the Newburgh Conspiracy a bit, weren't Morris and Hamilton kinda egging that shit on? think i heard about this in a interview with William Hogeland when he was being asked about his book Founding Finance, The Episode rules but i feel like you missed a chance to dam Hamilton more and that would be a tragedy.

Please do not listen to anybody who claims you say "right" too much! That kind of critique is kinda out of bounds, and imo "right" sounds conversational and puts me at ease (which is important for edutainment.) One of the strengths of your channel is your non-hammy affect (rare on youtube) and how effectively it smooths out both the dense concepts and frequent hilarious jokes. If there's any problem with comprehension I suspect that has more to do with editing which could be mitigated just with some slightly longer pauses between certain thoughts of phrases (as Ross James above suggested.) The content itself is all valuable and funny though, and I like that it's long!

As others have said, FAR too much saying "right?". Rather than casual and approachable it sounds unsure and anxious... like I'm finding myself bracing myself for the next one and still flinching when it hits. It's hard to follow the points bc I get distracted each time. For the early maps with farmers and troops moving around, I'd suggest having the action happen as it is described, instead of waiting for the narration to end - like how they move at 12:23.

A collection on comments and a few corrections. Great stuff, though: Tone down the number of "right?", especially on items that people might not know, right? Might need more emphasis or detail on what "specie" is early on, since you refer to it later. You mention that a contentinental "was issued". The passive voice shall not be used. what does it mean to "issue tax on that money"? "Rather than issue pounds, the government issued dollars". What does that actually mean, though? What does "the face value" mean for a continental? Its value compared to a Spanish dollar? To fund "the war". Might make sense to mention which war. I mean, I suppose it's the revolutionary one, but still... I like the "narration over a sped-up building in Blender" format, but the rapid fast forward is jarring in Blender. It works better in Cities: Skylines for some reason. I would totally watch a real-time video with how you're building the model of the ... erhm... building As always, really like your anachronisms ("a massive tweet thread we now call the federalist papers", "Go Heels!", etc) 18:17 - "Impovrished the west" 21:47 - Move the explanation of 1816 earlier (i.e. "a volcano had erupted, then this happened, that happened" instead of "this happened, that happened, and a volcano had erupted") 24:15 - what's an ephisode? or a subdisciplint? When you talk about Athens' democracy, I'd love a tangent on idiots that insists that the US "is a republic and not a democracy" 40:24 - Had to be paid in pa-second bank notes" 47m - what's a National Republican? Did I miss the part where you defined this?

Great video! I got a little lost from 36:20 on, it's pretty complicated, and the visuals and music make it hard to focus. Maybe wait with the music until you've explained the hard part? Also, the point at 38:16 is drowned out by the music a bit. The "overlending" part at 38:49-39:30 is difficult (to me), maybe it would help to bring back the diagram from 36:20? I'm not a native speaker though, so maybe it's fine.

I think the cuts you're making in the audio are a bit too short - it's not that you're speaking too fast, but that sometimes it feels like sentences change very quickly while I'm still processing what was just said. All the information is really good and cool and I love to watch the 3d modelling and it's a very good video
