Recommendation! The Animals!
🕑 Added 2025-08-16 01:27:14 +0000 UTCOkay, I don't do a lot of these, but my buddy Mark Stallings has just dropped The Animals, book 2 in his Silver Coin Saga series. It's a series that focuses on martial magic. So, it's not on the same swingset as Unintended Cultivator, but it's definitely in the same playground.
You get a weak to strong protagonist and a fun "magic" system. The world building is strong. And the characters do develop over the course of the books.
I have actually read these, and I like them. I also know that he's hard at work on book 3, so there shouldn't be a huge wait for book 3.
Anyway, if you're looking for some things to read on the weekends while I'm not dropping UC chapters, you should check these out.
