Update: Moving Time!
🕑 Added 2024-08-07 09:57:47 +0000 UTCOkay, so in an unusual turn of events, things happened faster than I expected. I got the keys to my new place yesterday. On the whole, that's a good thing. It means that furniture and appliances I ordered will show up to a place that I can 100% get into. Hurray! Of course, it also meant that I could start doing things like moving some of my stuff in...which I did. Interesting fact: you discover exactly how out of shape you are by moving.
In other news, I do still intend to keep writing as this process unfolds over the next couple of weeks. However, I'm definitely going to be more tired than usual as well. Even with the precaution of packing boxes with moderate loads, lugging them up a flight of stairs or two is still exhausting when it's 90 degrees (Fahrenheit) out. That's 32 degrees Celsius for, well, pretty much everyone not in the US or one of it's territories. So, moving forward, there will likely be a few miss days here and there. I'm not aiming for that, but the possibility of falling asleep at my desk while writing is very real. There will also probably be more typos than usual as well. Go easy on those, please.
Also, just a reminder, there will come a point when I'm having my internet service transferred between apartments. They're usually pretty good about it, but I expect that there will be at least a day or two where I simply don't have internet aside from my phone. I learned a long time ago that trying to do any kind of writing or posting via my phone is difficult in the extreme and best avoided. I haven't scheduled the transfer yet, but I will post a warning once I have/when it's getting close. Okay, i think that's the update for now.
