Brian Weaver

I REALLY hope that when Sen finally meets the piece of shit or shit's that are forcing him to advance like this he simply tells them no and or kills them. I also really hope that this isn't some ridiculous metaphor for the relationship between a writer and his characters. It kinda feels that way.

Jim Robbins

The other three -> the other two

Angela Roberts

Yes, I agree. And good point, accepting his prowess and outsized skill levels should help him to measure people more accurately.

Codered999

I feel like these are the core aspects of his regrets, he's being forced to confront the parts of himself that hate him and has to come to terms with them, basically he has to convince all of himself to accept who he is now. His youngest self represents his hatred of becoming so much like the very people that looked at beggar children and saw insignificance and waste, so he has to fully satisfy that aspect of himself that while he's more like them than he wishes, he's still not anywhere near as callous or cruel or negligent. After that is the relatively innocent boy that had only killed spirit beasts in self defense and would not understand why he would be so willing to murder others so quickly after leaving his new home and would look upon the current Sen as a bloodied monster with a trail of bodies behind him. I think this one will be difficult to satisfy because Sen genuinely wishes he hadn't killed all of those people and even all of those spirit beasts, but ultimately Sen coming to terms with the unfairness of the world and accepting his responsibility for his actions and that ultimately he would still make those choices because he wasn't really being given an alternative will lead the way to resolving what I see as an aspect of his guilt carried with him ever since he first killed someone. Finally is the part of him that wanted a proper cultivation journey and to achieve spiritual, mental, and physical balance within himself but refused to acknowledge his own capabilities and talent and his full potential was going to rapidly ascend him even without the heavens getting involved. So he needs to accept that he is different, that he is better than his peers, to stop insulting them and himself with his humble attitude and to stop blaming the heavens for everything when his own alchemy and techniques are also part of his rapid rise, that he is inherently an imperfect person and that balance is not the end all be all of things.

CentaureHeart

Yeah but he still did nothing, he knew that he would have to make it and we didn't see him once at least look up the first step to get there. He made the push to the equivalent of Nascent Soul as a body cultivator and that's it.

Codered999

Bit harsh to say he was ignoring it when he had war on the horizon to confront and no idea how to even begin the journey of self discovery that would lead to learning the things about himself he absolutely needed to know to ascend fully to nascent soul.

Trevor Mergen

Thanks!

CentaureHeart

Well, he knew that the Heavens were always going to rush him forward any chance they get. It is terrible timing but he kinda brought that on himself by ignoring it, once again.

Santiago Gil de Loño

So here we are! I am ready Eric!Throw to us your unintended tribulation. And thank you for the chapter!

Emily Gurnavage

Oof, thats a toughie

Angela Roberts

"The Heavens" must have a hugely important task (that's apparently running out of time) for Sen to continue harassing him so fiercely. Unless it involves hurt children I'm pretty sure Sen is saying "no".

Mike lee

Thanks for the chapter, I hope you had a hair Thanksgiving
