Sirius Black SI-Ch 6--Shopping—Part 2

"I don't know, I guess I was using my magic constantly to keep myself in my animagus form so it must have somehow stimulated my magic," I said while shrugging and Remus while still looking skeptical, somewhat bought it.
While the reason I had told him may be a part of it, I had deduced another one that I didn't share with him. According to some of the lessons in Sirius's childhood memories, the magical capacity of a person is inexplicably linked to his soul strength. The Magical capacity of a person increases from the time they show accidental magic as a child to their 30s when their soul hits their natural limit.
The soul of a magical child is very stretchy and tenacious, which is also the reason these are the best years to increase a person's magical capability. By using magic like a muscle, you can improve everything about your magic. When your soul is young and you have very few memories, it's easy for you to recover from magical fatigue, but alas, most children's magic doesn't stabilize until they are about 11 years old and are qualified to hold a wand.
That is why when people like Voldemort, who got their magic stabilized at a young age, have such monstrous magical strength because they could utilize wandless magic since they were a child and were increasing their magical capacity regularly.
Now, I am mostly guessing from the clues I've been given. So, when I transmigrated into this world I got all of Sirius's memories, and what are memories if not a very important part of the soul; take the memories out of a person and the only thing left behind is a shell of a person.
So from that, we could say that part of a soul is the memories, and when the memories integrated with my soul, they also increased in soul strength which made Sirius's original magical capacity expand. And Sirius had already hit his natural limit during his stay in prison, so that must mean that my limit had also increased due to the merge.
When I first got my basic shield up for the first time, I had Remus test them and what I found was that I had some of the most powerful basic Occlumency shields, he had ever seen.
As a person grows older after they hit their natural limit, while their magic stops growing, it instead starts getting more compact and that makes their control over their magic improve if they keep on practicing. An extreme example of this will be Albus Dumbledore, from a couple of duels between him and Voldemort in Sirius's memories, while the headmaster was a powerhouse in his own right he mostly used magic that displayed his masterful control, unlike the brute force method Voldemort mostly employed.
My soul was quite young and combining that with the remaining parts of the remaining compact soul made a very powerful combination. Sirius was already counted among the likes of Bellatrix Lestrange and Mad-eye Moody so if I just improve my spell repertoire I could be very good at dueling.
"Hey, Sirius," Remus startled me by suddenly clicking his fingers in front of me, "Are you falling back asleep? I've been calling you for a while,"
"Oh sorry," I said while shaking my head, "I was just thinking about something,"
"Alright then," he said while heading out of the dueling room, "You should go and get ready if you want to use that portkey to France,"
My eyes immediately widened and I did a facepalm while groaning, I had almost forgotten about that. Remus's boss had won a France trip in some competition but he couldn't go so he gave it to Remus, who gave it to me because it was a Full moon tomorrow. And I had been hoping to go to the mainland to do some shopping so It all worked out.
I quickly checked the time using a spell and found out that I only had about half an hour until the portkey leaves. I immediately ran to my room and after taking my towel went into the bathroom.
I came out ten minutes later and put on the most comfortable outfits I could find. After looking at myself in the mirror, I cast a couple of glamour charms, to change my hair and eye color. I looked different enough that anyone who was not very familiar with me would not be able to recognize me.
After making sure nothing was out of place, I took a bag of galleons and a wad of euros from my bedside drawer, before I quickly ran downstairs toward the tea kettle placed on the dining table, and under the kettle was my booking to the hotel.
I hadn't even held them in my hands for a minute when I was suddenly portkeyed away in a swirl of colors, I was able to see multiple places passing me by very quickly and about a minute later, I started to slow down. I immediately started moving my legs as if I was walking and a second later I was placed on the floor gently still standing.
I had landed inside a big room with a great many circles and with a handful of doors in multiple directions. People were materializing inside the circles from time to time while carrying mundane items in their hands. After a while of just admiring everything around me, I followed behind an Indian couple toward a door on which it was written Exit in French.
The gate opened into the main hall inside the France Ministry of Magic, there was a crowd of people rushing in from all directions. Some were going toward the fireplaces, while some were into the main building. I navigated through the throng of people toward a huge wall with different doors lined up, with MUGGLE EXIT written above them.
Every door had some kind of Landmark written on them for example one of them had the Eiffel Tower. I went toward the door which had the place closest to my hotel marked and after a few minutes, my turn came. I entered and found on the other side of the gate some sort of bathroom. After going out of the bathroom and looking around, I found out that I was in an Airport.
After walking out of the Airport, I took a taxi toward my hotel. I checked into the hotel but didn't go into the room yet as I didn't have any kind of luggage. I asked the receptionist for the best clothes store nearby and she gave me the direction.
After about 20 minutes of wandering around, I found the name given by the receptionist. I went inside the Small clothing store and started looking around. When I found the men's section I took out the mirror from my pocket and after making sure no one was looking toward me, I placed a couple of charms on it that made it enlarge and start to float in the air behind me. After making sure that the mirror was following me and no one else could see the mirror, I called Harry.
