Releasing On Friday: Quest3 Holoplayer
🕑 Added 2024-03-26 14:50:36 +0000 UTCLast weekend I wanted to try if I could get the Quest3 passthrough to work with Unity, and stream the content from the PC to the headset. Got it to work nicely!
However, this is just a test, and currently I don't have plans to do anything more with it.
The player is stereoscopic, and if you know Whirligig, this uses the same engine and plays back almost everything.
The end result is a holographic video girls at your own room. The release will be as-it-is, only the keyboard is working, but I have lots of features to adjust the video and the depth for perfect matching.

nope. I'm using a mask, which moves with your gaze. meaning the center of view is showing the video and it fades towards the edges. like the title image shows.

Is this something then where we would have to preprocess the video to remove backgrounds?
