Some images of the Asylum & unrelated download...
🕑 Added 2023-03-03 17:00:05 +0000 UTCI've been coding the characters, as each one of them must have own voices and events they do. Some characters still missing at this point.
I will release more Asylum content as a WIP in few weeks, so this scene is really getting flesh around the bones.
It's been quite challenging to create the look and the audio to get it as close to 50's as possible. Getting there!
About the Download (The last image):
Earlier on I played around with webcam, thinking if there is anything I could add as a feature when playing in 2D. Dumped the idea, as it would add another layer on top of the 2D, and slow the process too much.
But, here is the test scene to play with. Doesn't work without a webcam (movement). She just sits, watches and talks. Try to lean forward and to take distance - some triggers kicks in. If you idle at the startup distance, another set of animations is selected.
Basically your face is inside of a square, and I'm just comparing the startup size to the current size. If smaller - you are further. Bigger=closer.
I thought this to be a cool live wallpaper, but Lively (https://www.rocksdanister.com/lively/) wasn't so friendly with the scene. It plays, and with some effort you can get it to run as a background. Iffy as fuck to get it there. If you manage to set it up, share your info here!
No guarantees whatsoever for this test. ESC-exit. This is 2D only! No VR!
Next Friday will be a FIT release...
Have a great weekend!
