The symbols was explained as relic charges in the movie. I'm guessing she is now charged beyond just being herself. Just like Regs charges are shown by the complexity of his helmet pattern, I now think Faputa is more than her normal state of being at the moment.

Episode 10 is without a doubt an all timer imo. Revelations, emotions, animation, music - firing on all cylinders.

God, episode 10s transitions and cross-cutting makes me feel some kinda way ... Anyway, FYI: Episode 10 is storyboarded and directed by the guy who did the same for the opening, Takushi Koide. To me, it's clear that this was the one, the highest priority episode of the season. Since almost all of MiA is boarded by the director, Masayuki Kojima (director of Monster (2004) and a lot more), who is probably one of the last active veteran directors from the 1980s still working at the top their game, its notable when he steps down.
