I really love that you said 'Oh goodness' at the very end of this episode about Dean's faith, because I really think that gets to the whole point. No matter how much any of us have reason - Dean most of all - to believe we're living in a universe without an interventionist God - we are living in a world where we can choose to be good. That's something more deserving of faith than any creative writer posing as a prophet.
