Set up by a baby-orc (part 13)
🕑 Added 2025-03-13 15:30:02 +0000 UTCA/N: The poll was a tie, and I choose to do an extra story of them because I’m a bit in love with their dynamic. You’d still get another part this Sunday as usual. Enjoy!
Orc (Unax) x fem!reader || sfw, soulmates
“Hello, beautiful. Are you ready?” He cringes inside at his silly phrase, but the smile you send his way is enough to make him want to lay down and roll like a puppy. His heart feels full, and you smell so good he wants to eat you whole.
He knew about the mating heat, but he never expected it to happen so fast. His brothers had long mating heats, but he barely knows his mate, you, and he’s already feeling like his insides are about to boil every time he gets close to you. And by the smell of it… you are feeling it, too. It fills him with pride that you are attracted to him, the sweet aroma of your light arousal driving him insane as he walks around the car to open your door.
You are smiling, and he can’t do anything but to stare as you climb on the passenger seat. He walks back to his side of the car, climbing in starting the engine without a word. He’s not sure if he can’t talk before he melts against the seat.
But you break the silence: “So, where are you taking me?”
“To an orcish restaurant,” he tells you. He doesn’t add that the owner of said restaurant is his aunt, and the main chef is his cousin, he doesn’t want to make you nervous with that. But it’s the best orc restaurant in the city and he wanted you to taste some of his culture.
You let out a little happy yelp. “Oh! I always wanted to try orcish food.” He looks at you, one eyebrow raised in question. “I never had anyone to go with to those places and I just… I didn’t want to go alone.” Her voice turns a bit sad at the end, and the smell of it makes his hands clench around the steering wheel.
“Where else do you want to go?” He might lose himself if he looks at you one more time, his blood feels like molten lava already, and the smell of your sadness is making his inner orc go insane. You should never feel sad, especially when he’s with you.
“I wanted to go to the huge museum on main street, the one that has an exposition on naga history. That sounds so cool. My friends always want to go have drinks or coffee, which don’t get me wrong, I love, but sometimes I want to make special plans and they all have their own partners and I… I don’t.” His heart is beating fast against his rib-cage, trying to escape and reach you.
“Well, next date we can go to the museum,” he lets out as if it’s nothing.
You inhale sharply, surprised by his boldness as you tease him: “Second date, huh?” You try to laugh it off, but your heartbeat is beating so loud that he can hear it.
“Of course. Second of many, many others…” He smirks, turning his eyes off the road for a second to give you the full effect. You shiver, and his smile grows bigger as he looks back to the road.
“Is that so? You seem very confident about that,” you tease back, making his cock twitch inside his briefs. Fuck, he loves when you tease back.
“Well, beautiful, I plan on being your forever, so sure as hell I’m going to take you on many dates,” he lets out without thinking.
His heart stops when he processes his own words. Fuck. Too soon, too much. Humans don’t get mates, they don’t understand how mates work and he practically confessed his love to you on your first date. He’s so stupid.
But then you let out a giggle, your cheeks red with the prettiest blush, but you don’t say anything. He doesn’t die in that second, but he almost feels like he does. His heart is beating so hard you might be able to hear it, his head spinning as he parks next to the restaurant.
“We’re here,” he lets out, his voice choked.
He walks to your side of the car and helps you out, offering you his hand and intertwining his fingers with yours as you walk hand in hand to the door. They sit you in a private booth, the lights are dim and the whole atmosphere is cozy. You smell content and happy, and that makes him relax. His mishap in the car still weights heavy inside his stomach, but he can get over it, he will just forget about what he said.
He orders some of the specials, sharing and explaining what every plate is. You two talk about everything and anything, sharing stories about work, about your childhood… It’s a very chill evening that feels easier than either of you expected.
The conversation flows as you laugh and overall have a good time. He has trouble focusing most of the time, but he manages. You look so good across from him, the lights making your pinkish skin look radiant, that he has to bite his lip not to start panting like a needy dog. He barely contains himself when you moan across a spoon of dessert.
He pays for dinner, making sure to tell you the next one would be on you. You blush at his statement, and he has to bite his lip again not to chuckle at how adorable that is. He makes sure to say goodbye to his family before leaving while you are in the bathroom, and once again opens the car door for you before sitting behind the steer wheel.
You talk a bit more on the way to your building, the air charged with electricity and unsolved sexual tension. At least he feels it like that. You are fumbling with the hem of your skirt, and you smell nervous, but in a sweet way. It almost smells like freshly cut flowers.
He stops his car in front of your building, not attempting to get out or help you out. You look at each other for a few beats before you break the silence. “I had fun tonight.” He had more than fun, he’s probably half in love with you already, but he can’t say that, so he just nods. And then you surprise him by saying: “I… I’ll like to go into that museum date.” You are looking at him from under your eyelashes, making his insides twist with joy.
He doesn’t think twice before asking: “Are you free tomorrow?” His insides are all warm, and he wants to spend all his available time with you. He needs it. He craves it. He needs to know everything there’s to know about you. One night wasn’t even close to being enough.
She let’s out a shocked laughter. “Tomorrow?!”
“Well, yeah… I want to spend more time with you,” he lets out with a chuckle, trying to downplay his eagerness to spend more time with you. But your smile makes it really hard. You look so good looking at him like that, your eyes shiny with hope and your lips looking more and more tempting with each passing second.
“Okay,” you whisper. You take a deep breath, closing your eyes for a second and then letting out a fast question that has his eye twitching and his heart skipping a beat: “Can I kiss you goodnight?”
He stares at you and slowly nods, unable to speak. He holds his breath as you lean across the console to cup his cheek, your eyes closed and your mouth half open…
Okay, don’t panic, this is happening, the meme from The Office plays out in his head as he closes the distance between the two of you.
