He arrives there early, his nephew in tow and a bag full of snacks for all the kids. He didn’t know what everyone could eat, so he bought a bit of everything. He’d been nannying for his nephews and nieces since they were born, but it felt different to take care of a bunch of kids that weren’t related to him. He knows it shouldn’t be that hard, after all he’s only there to help the teachers, but still, kids low-key scare him. But he promised and you looked so fucking happy when he said he would be the chaperone… Fuck.
“Uncle Unax!” His nephew urges, pulling at his arm and pointing ahead with his tiny chubby green finger. “That’s my minotaur friend!” He look at the kid he’s pointing and recognizes it as the one who threw you down yesterday.
He frowns, and then shakes his head, not believing he’s mad at a kid. He’s so gone on you, and he barely knows anything, yet. He needs to ask you out, and he needs to do it soon before he dies of frustration because he hasn’t even kissed you yet, and he craves it like pregnant people crave weird food combos.
“Can I go play with them?” His nephew breaks his train of thought. He nods at him and stands awkwardly with his bag full of snacks and not knowing what to do.
“You must be Unax, right?” A sweet voice says behind him, he turns around in time to see the naga director, the one who called him a hot piece of ass over the phone. He tries not to chuckle at the memory. “Nice to meet you.” She extends a hand and he takes it.
But then there’s you, half limping to the entrance with a big smile and an outfit that makes all your curves show perfectly. He’s so focused on you that he doesn’t even register what the director is saying. “I see how it is…” She says with a giggle as she slithers away. He doesn’t look at her go, his eyes fixed on you.
He almost runs to you, grabbing you by the waist and helping you walk with a smile. “Good morning, nice to see you walking again, or should I say limping?” He asks amused. You look at him with a frown, but the smile on your lips is enough to know you aren’t mad.
“Ha ha, very funny. Let’s see who laughs when there’s kids pulling on your pants and you have control twenty of them.” He looks at you panicked and you laugh so loudly and carefree that his heart skips a beat. You are so fucking beautiful. “Relax, I won’t let you alone with them,” you reassure with a big smile.
“Give me your phone,” he says with a smirk, his big green hand outstretched in your direction. You look so good he’s trying really hard not to check you out (not very obvious at least).
“What? Why?” You look like a deer caught in headlights, and his heart gives a warning beat.
He thinks of a reason to ask for your phone that doesn’t include the words mate nor already in love with you, and end up saying: “So I can contact you in case I’m alone with them.” You look disappointed, and that ignites a spark of joy inside of him.
The second your phone is in his hand, he’s rapidly tapping. His phone beeps with a new message and he smiles brightly at you, he can smell your unsureness, but also the joy underneath it that makes his whole body react. It’s not till much later that you see what he send and how he saved himself in your phone.
