Imagine going to a monster speed dating event without knowing what is it about. You saw a “monster smash” poster and thought it could be fun to get dressed as a monster to try to get some action…
What you weren’t expecting AT ALL is for them to be actual monsters. The kind you find in fairy tales. What the fuck? Monsters are real? Because that orc at the bar and the big minotaur walking to you is definitely looking very real.
But what surprised you even more is that you recognize some of their faces. Those are your neighbors! The big dude from 5B is an orc? The petite lady that lives across from your apartment is an actual fairy? And is that minotaur your fucking landlord? What the fuck? How can they look so human when they are out of there and so monstrous right now?
Your brain is spinning and you don’t know what to do, should you leave? Your headband with horns and your red makeup looks kind of offensive. The demon in the corner of the room must think so too because he’s staring at you like you killed someone.
You are about to turn around and leave when someone calls out your name. You look for the source of the voice and you gasp when you realize there’s a dragon. There’s a big ass dragon walking to you and they’re smiling and waving their hand as if they know you. Wait, is that the dude who lives in the attic? The one who helped you set up your WiFi? The one who showed you their weird glitter collection?
“I- You- I…” You stutter when they stand up before you, looking so fucking tall you feel like an ant.
“How nice seeing you here! And what a cute dress!” Their voice is cheerful and you can’t do anything but gasp again. Why are they so fucking normal about this? THEY’RE A DRAGON!
“You… You are… You are a dragon,” you let out, your confusion taints your voice and makes it a bit shaky.
“Yes! Didn’t you know? But I showed you my horde,” they are the one who is confused now, and you gape at them some more.
“Hey, honey! I’m so happy to see you here, did you find it all right?” Another deep voice asks behind you. You turn around to see the lady who runs the supermarket on your street… The one who told you about this “monster smash” speed dating thing. She looks normal enough, but when he smiles at you she has way too many teeth. Way, way too many…
And that’s the last thing you see before your eyes roll back into your head and you faint.
