Hey, Patients! Hope you've all been doing well this week!
Recently, I've been thinking about my old game "Headspace", and I feel kinda bad letting it sit unfinished; forever gathering dust. It's been over 2 years since I stopped development on the game, but I really poured my heart and soul into it - I always had an interest in game development when I was a kid, so building the game was a super cool experience!
Unfortunately, I still think finishing the game is far beyond me, but I'd at least like to let others play the game and enjoy what I created; so, I've made the decision that I'm going to try releasing the game for FREE on Steam! It'll still be unfinished, but there's maybe a few hours of gameplay in there, so at least I can share it with the rest of the world!
However, before I release it, I'd like to add Veronica to the game as an NPC, letting the player know that the game is unfinished, but that if they'd like to see more of my art, they can check out my comic series, Patreon, and other stuff (and maybe add a hidden event where the player can make Veronica flash her boobies or something π)
BUT... as I've painstakingly discovered this past week, I've forgotten almost everything I know about RPG Maker and all the Custom Plugins I was using. I opened it up thinking I could just pick up from where I left off 2 years ago, but it's like... WHAT am I looking at? What does \bustExp[1,2] mean and what do all these Variables trigger? WHY DOES STELLA HAVE 10 FUCKING EVENT PAGES?
So, I've been taking some time this week to re-familiarize with RPG Maker and where I left off, draw up some new Veronica assets, and see if I can get this game Steam-ready. It's not true closure for the game, but I'll definitely feel better knowing that the late-night hours I spent building this game won't have been for nothing :) And who knows, after this is all wrapped up, maybe I can make a small "Veronica and Mona" themed game for fun? I guess we'll have to see!

In comic news, I've admittedly been running a little dry on fun ideas! Internally, I think I'm really stressing about the big move in December :( I've never been so far from my family before, and the closer we're getting to the end of the year, the more "real" it's starting to feel. I've definitely been feeling some brainfog these past few weeks, so it's been rough trying to come up with ideas I like π But I tried grabbing a request from the Idea Submission pool recently and I think I can make a nice doodle comic about it, so that'll probably be the next project I whip up.
