We just finished ep 4 of recording today and we've nicknamed Askeladd as the rat haha

Fun facts: 1- The Jomsvikings were a group of mercenaries/pirates types in the Baltic seas. They were settled in Jomsborg which was in todays northern Germany/Polen. 2- Askeladd means «ash lad/boy», and is a main character in a lot of Norwegian folk tales 😋

4:30 - I think the people that raided the village at the start of the episode was English raiding a Viking settlement in northern England/Scotland. Like they say at 6:59 12:30 - War was also seen a bit differently in Viking culture. If you died in war, you were granted a place in Vallhalla at Odins table, where they fought during the day and ate their fill during the night. Those who didn’t die a «honourable death» went to Helheim, which is a sort of second life as long as someone living remembers you. 30:40- You didn’t butcher the name 😁
