FMG Life Sim 2024 Polishing Update Alpha 4 Sent Out!

Ended up finding way more stuff to polish than expected, so we're not quite at Beta 1 yet. But I wanted to release something closer to the middle of the month, and hopefully you'll find these additions worthwhile!
FMG Life Sim 2024 Polishing Update Alpha 4 notes:
- Added new scene with art by Oriander in which the girlfriend lifts the player character overhead. This is unlocked with the GF having muscle level 15 - 19 and the player having muscle lower than 20. There are 3 small variations of the art/scene based on the player's muscle level.
- Added this and its images scene to the Gallery
- Added the following non-scaling curses:
- Maladaptive Growth - Muscle
- Maladaptive Growth - Endurance
- Maladaptive Growth - Flexibility
These make the whoever has them shrink in height (minimum is still 0) whenever their muscles/endurance/flexibility increases from leveling up while sleeping or using the restoration chamber.
- Added Maladaptive Growth set of curses to the "random perk" table the Chaos Potion draws from.
- Added Maladaptive Growth to custom character creation.
- The Shopping Center has a new machine - the Focus 4 U is a prebuilt focusing laser that can be used for a fee, allowing usage of the focusing crystals early on in the game.
- In the process of creating this, came up with a more elegant system for selecting what crystal is selected and what it's used on - transferred this new system to the regular focusing laser menu.
- Added the ability to treasure hunt at the beach without a treasure hunter (at roughly 1/3rd of the chance of finding something)
- Added in a bonus while treasure hunting at the beach for having the Observant non-scaling perk (apparently forgot to include that)
- When the treasure detector is owned, it will now tell you how many treasures are at the beach on the main beach screen (without the need to enter the treasure hunting activity)
- Added the Adaptive Growth set of non-scaling perks to Edith's Exchange along with their corresponding Maldaptive Growth curses.
- Added the Adaptive Growth set of non-scaling perks to the "random perk" table the Chaos Potion draws from.
- Added the Adaptive Growth set of non-scaling perks to custom character creation.
- Added height potential limits to the Adaptive Growth perks.
- Added 'Height Growth Resume' surgery at Dr. Chance's - this is for characters who underwent the height growth stopping surgery to undo it.
- Added potential limits for the skills. These potentials are determined through attributes. Currently they're set to:
Construction Potential = Strength + Intelligence (idea being one needs a strong enough body to do things and the intelligence to learn and apply construction knowledge)
Computer Potential = Intelligence + Reaction Speed (reaction speed is a placeholder here for typing speed, though in a future update this could be replaced with something like agility or dexterity)
Posing Potential = Flexibility + Intelligence (idea being one needs to have the flexibility to enter the poses, and intelligence helps one visualize/intuit/remember how they outwardly look in each position)
- If muscle, endurance, flexibility, intelligence, and reaction speed all increased while sleeping, the girlfriend will have a specific dialogue about it when waking up.
- Added Adaptive Growth - Muscle to the starting default and schmo scenario girlfriend characters. Raised initial height XP required back in line with other stats, and increased the XP requirement scaling (from twice as slow as regular stats to 1.5x as slow). Will be testing this and keeping an eye on how it feels in terms of helping a "regular" playthrough girlfriend character generally stay in line with the artwork as she grows.
- Bodybuilding Contest now gives experience points (posing activity)
- When a character fails a job interview, it now states what the numerical requirement is.
- Fully added 'easier' perk/curse difficulty levels for custom characters, and changed some of the existing perk difficulties a little.
- Girlfriend will now only mention her height potential in the quick talks if you've visited Dr. Chance or somehow otherwise acquired the experience analyzer.
- Focusing laser will no longer say you have no crystals when you only have a violet focusing crystal.
- Moved information about perks and curses to hover-over tool tips on the custom character creation screen.
Next update should be Beta 1, aiming for early February on that. And below are the new images for the lift and carry scene.
Will also be holding a poll next week for the next Oriander artwork.
