To enable the skydomes, open the pure config in game app and navigate to the clouds tab, then select the Garrys-Vanilla+-Skydomes button as shown below.

I found, I simply renamed the folder "Garrys-Vanilla+-Skydomes" to "default_16k" in assettocorsa\extension\config-ext\Pure\Skydome_sets
